lol. On your note about base cards, i personally think its ok on there, just not 80s and 90s basecards that are only good for starting fires. They have said they wont list them if we send them there, but they have no problem listing them for themselves. i just think the rules should be the same for everyone.

This is from their site:

Items we do not support on the site

DO NOT send us any of the following.

If you send us any items listed below, we will send them back to you.

* Unopened packs
* Unopened boxes
* Factory sealed complete sets
o In the future we will add support for lots and sets, but we still plan to scan every card in the lot or set. We don't currently have plans to support factory sealed sets.
* Non-sports cards not listed in Beckett
* Unlicensed or oddball cards not listed in Beckett
* Filler cards not listed in Beckett
* Autographs not listed in Beckett
o If a card was autographed after it was pulled from a pack, we don't have a way to do authentication. So we won't sell the card. If it came autographed in a pack and is listed in Beckett's online price guide, that is fine. Those cards are great on our site.
* Memorabilia
o Memorabilia cards are fine, but we don't currently support pennants, plaques, jerseys, bats, etc.
* Cards not worth putting on the site
o Our rule of thumb is that we try to make our service cost effective for cards worth $1 or more. There are many cards worth less than $1 that might still be worth putting on the site (e.g. vintage commons and commons from the current year). We may use our discretion and return cards that might not be worth going through the system. Typically we only do this when we receive large lots or cards that are primarily commons from the 1980's and 1990's.
o We do not recommend that you bother looking up every single cards value before sending the cards to us. That is very time consuming, and that is one of the services that we provide as part of processing your cards.
o If you want to look up some prices before sending cards to us, we recommend Beckett's online price guide. For about $6 you can get a one month subscription, and it lists all of the cards that we support on the site.

cardsrus1, thanks for the note about the 100+ autographs. I updated the blog post to call out that the we will allow 10 or more autograph or game used cards with the budget processing service if they are all from the same set.

Regarding employees posting cards... the Arena Draft Picks card you referenced was added to the site 2 years ago. Our employees have had very little time to post any cards lately. They still have to pay $0.05 per card, and they have to do all of the work to post the cards on their own time.

That is great that you make employees put the cards on on their time. We appreciate the time that you have taken to answer many of our questions. Hope it did not take too long from updating my newest shipment. Lol.

I think more what the issue is the apperance that it gives that your employeees list cards that dont meet your own guidlines for the type of cards you want on your site. It appears that you are above your own rules and makes it appear that we as customers dont matter as much. For example, your account has over 1000 cards that have BV less than $.10. While you may be doing it on your own time, it gives the perception that the customers dont matter as much. And for the fact that you claim your employees still have to pay the $0.05, why in the world would you list cards that you would make no money off of and in fact would lose money on?

It would go a long way to post this statement somewhere on your site. I had questioned this in the past and was given a different answer. I was told that the employees cards were treated the same as ours, first come-first served.

Deducting store credit at the time the cards are received helps a little, but ultimate the problem is that we need to generate enough additional revenue to afford to double our staff. If we were to go this route, we would probably have to also raise the budget processing fee to $0.15/card. At that point we figure, you would rather pay the extra $0.05/card and get our priority service.

I am surprised that so many people are suggesting this idea. Having designed the fee structure based on my own personal annoyances with other services, this was one of the fees I was trying to avoid. I hated having to pay fees per transaction. I wanted to be able to buy a card for $1, sell it for $1.25 and make $0.25. By offering that ability, way more cards will sell at $1. As soon as we add the per transaction fee, there will likely be a significant slowdown in flip attempts and ultimately a slowdown in sales. I know you may be used to paying a transaction fee on other sites, but do people really want us to add that?
