Hey Tim...Welcome aboard!

I love the fact that you come on here and see what the forum and what is being said. You or your employees have never steered me wrong, and I have been impressed from day one of the services you provide.

I appreciate the fact that you changed the sellers being able to get their cards back for $25. That was really bugging me when I read it. Considering I have over 2,200 cards still on the site (and many more in processing or on their way soon), that would cost me a pretty penny. I want to be able to leave the cards there and not worry about them.

Keep up the great work! Keep making changes and moving forward and you will still have alot of fans!

Erik

While you may be doing it on your own time, it gives the perception that the customers dont matter as much. And for the fact that you claim your employees still have to pay the $0.05, why in the world would you list cards that you would make no money off of and in fact would lose money on?
The cards that you are referring to were added to the site before we offered our consignment service. These are not employee cards. The LowPriceCards and TimGetsch accounts have cards from LowPriceCards.com... the predecessor to CheckOutMyCards.com. I suppose I could remove the cheap cards from those accounts, but I don't really think it is that big of a deal.

Tim,

Given some of the other ideas, I'm not opposed to a .05 flip fee. As you stated in your example, if you by the card for 1.00 and figure you can make 1.25 on it, even with the fee you'd clear 0.20. Would that be enough to help cover the administrative costs of the flip?

As soon as we add the per transaction fee, there will likely be a significant slowdown in flip attempts and ultimately a slowdown in sales. I know you may be used to paying a transaction fee on other sites, but do people really want us to add that?
I, for one, would have the transaction fees. I also am anti-transaction fee. I think the fee structure is perfect. You have made changes, but not extreme. Keep that up!

That makes sense. I personally dont have a problem with lower priced cards being on there, but I know that has been an issue for other people about the perception. Either way, I have been happy to have the site to send my cards to and be sold on. One idea i have that might be helpful is to have a way to auto-accept offers from people.

I give Tim a lot of credit for answering everyone's questions and concerns. My only question is why was the rule about not being able to use your credit for adding new cards put in?

Tim, has there been any developements on a bulk pricing option for sellers. Your staff has been right on top of all my price change requests but it seems that if we could make the changes it would free up more time. Thanks

A couple of thoughts on funds:

1. What happened to storage fees? I was only charged once that I am aware of...This will help with your cash flow problem. Personally I wouldn't mind paying this especially if you kept at $.01/card either shipped or purchased on your site. This would make people really think about cards they were sending to you instead of just sending minor star base cards. Also, people may requests shipment more frequently so you don't become storage facilities. You need a way so you are not overrun with cards that offer little return and a site wide storage fee may do that.

2. The shipping costs scare me a little. How about a cost for x number of cards and do it in a tier basis? For example, $5 for up to 10, $10 for up to 50, $15 for up to 100 and so on since most of your cost is in man hours and not shipping. To be honest with you, we were spoiled with the unlimited shipping around the holidays and most people are holding out for those. I am sure that cost you a bunch to do that. I would set a max for shipment of sellers cards back to them as you have done today.

3. I would try to avoid transaction fees if you are still charging for removal of money but not sure how to handle that...store credit is like monopoly money that is worth nothing to you until it is actually cashedout. I would just be careful on that.

We all realize that COMC is a business for you and that it needs to be profitable, but as you know, customer service is very important to maintain your longevity. The site is a great idea and I have sold and bought a bunch of cards through your service so I am hoping, as I am sure everyone on this board is, that you are successful.

Tim,

Another request....as I'm into hour two of updating my pricing..any possibility of allowing the user to view more than 10 cards per page? I myself would love this as a seller as it would allow me to update my pricing more quickly. As a buyer I've been turned off to guys listings as after about the first 5-10 pages, it gets very tedius, and I'll stop looking at their listings.

Also since you are on here reading, can you add a place where if we identify an issue with a listing, we can add an explanation so it would be quicker on you when going back to check the card?
