Yeah I kind of like the idea of lowering cash out fee but adding a transaction fee.

I would be in agreement with this as well. I guess the question is, who pays for the transaction fee, the buyer or the seller?

You would think it would be the seller. Because if the buyer chooses to have his cards shipped then he has to pay the shipping fees.

I wish someone would help me better understand what's wrong with sellers paying a 5 cent per sale fee. To me this is a common sense thing, but I have been known to be lacking in the common sense department before. Someone please help. And I don't want to hear about how that's going to hurt someone's profit when they're selling a card for 10 cents. I think selling cards for 10-15 cents in the hopes of making a profit should be stopped in order to help with not only time issues, but money issues.

Thanks!

I am completely in favor of a 5 to 10 cent per transaction fee that sellers pay. Not a 5-10% fee similar to other auction sites. I am a seller.

I think its because COMC is taking 20% when you cash. The options should be either cut the cash out fee and integrate a transaction fee. Hope that makes sense.

As much as I'd like to see the 20% cash out fee eliminated, I'm fine with it and was well aware of it before I started selling on COMC. I'd be perfectly happy if they kept this 20% fee AND charged a 5 cent per transaction fee. Heck, if you sell 1000 cards, and are only charged 5 cents per transaction, that's only $50 to get rid of those 1000 cards. It's not going to hurt anyone all that much when COMC does all the work for you in the first place.

What you say makes sense HJ, and I thank you for your response. However, I'm still confused why it's not a brilliant idea.

I also am not in favor of a transaction fee. If the cashout % was lowered, then sure. But, transaction fees, cashout fees, paypal/check fees, those all add up. I figure there is enough fees involved already.

I agree that a transaction fee would be okay, if the cashout fee was lowered.
