Hi to all,

I recently signed up at COMC..... Scanning singles and sets was getting too time consuming on Ebay. I sent about 1500 high end cards to start that are due to be processed at the end of June. Lots of 50, 60's Mantles, Mays, Aarons... Book value will probably be between 25-35k. I also just finished up a high end 1975 Topps set by picking up about 20 cards I needed from COMC. Now I just need a 1978 Topps Baseball Pat Sadek (#8) card to complete that set.

I am not a registered seller yet but would like you to check out some cards I already purchased and am looking to re-sell ($1,000+). Just sold a OPC Lemiuex Rookie in EX+ shape for only $49.99..... I have lots of good deals like that, along with hot prospects.

I hope vintage cards sell well here because I have a ton of pre 1977 stuff

BTW, How are people buying my cards?? I am not a registered seller yet and only own about 80 cards that I have in my inventory marked for sale. Yet I am selling about 3-4 a day at the marked price to sell??? This is gonna be great once they upload the 1600+

I don't recall seeing anything about becoming a "registered seller" on COMC - pretty much as long as you own cards in their inventory you can sell them, as far as I know.

You're very welcome. It's a beautiful card. I was actually going to send it in to get graded until COMC came along.

I'm glad it ended up going to a collector and not a rip and flipper. Although, I have nothing against any rip and flippers, (lol, sounds like I'm cussing), buying any or all of my cards.

I've been following COMC for awhile. It's an interesting concept.

One question: on the seller list, why don't they show how much *actual* sales a seller has done? Using book value to report sales inflates the numbers and makes the sellers look like they're doing a lot more business than they truly are. Or am I missing something?

I agree with you 100%. I wish they would include an extra column for dollar value sold right along with book value sold. I think both can be important in their own right.

It would be easy to do too because each individual can see exactly the dollar amount they have sold in their own "dashboard". It's already figured.

When you can find cards like Captain just found, why wouldn't everyone want to at least take a look at COMC? :-)

drfunke, the quick and easy answer to that question would be to attract more potential sellers to the site. You look at my numbers for example, I have sold $249.99 in real money and probably close to 2k in BV. As a potential seller, which number would entice you into using their service more?
