Purchase my entire inventory and I'll take half of what you spent and buy cards from your inventory at your asking price. If I don't see anything I am interested in, I will simply reject the offer. If I have more than 1 offer, I will take the offer of the person with cards I am most interested in. $581.20 BV for $58.07.

Wow lots of people totally selling there whole port, aren't you guys glad I was the first person to ask CMC if we could do this and I was the first person to test out the new botton to add all cards of inventory. Of course the first time I did it, it took like 5 minutes to upload, now they fixed that too.

But I wonder how much this will hurt CMC. It looks like a lot of people are leaving, or are they just dumping everything they have for 1 big score, and then be able to buy a few more boxes and send more cards into CMC. For the people who sold there ports, why did you do it?

I sold my last 70 or so cards for like $20. The were all a bunch of low $$ inserts that would have taken forever to sell individually. So getting rid of them in one shot was nice. If I had a bunch of jerseys/autos etc. I probably wouldn't have done it.

For me it was an advantage to pick up a few collections. At one point I had goals of getting in the top 10 or so on the site, but I'm not sure I'll hit the 30K mark needed at this point. But I'm still trying to build up $$ on the site for my new fishing/duck boat, but why not reinvest what I have and not have the lag time and/or upload fees. Much easier to buy someone out and save myself the 20% fee for now while I build up the cards that I'm going to send in. I try and send in about 3K at a time (just to save myself some money on the shipping fees).

We would still keep all of our other shipping options. This is just a new option for people wanting 100+ cards shipped. 5 cards would still be only $4 to ship.

I think there could be some potential issues there depending on what the statement means.
We never ship cards until the shipment request is received. Budget shipment requests would wait until the 1st of the month to be packaged. We are thinking of only offering budget shipping to people that have accounts.

Hmm... It sounds like we have to deal with the perception that our shipping fee is only paying for postage. On average only 1/3rd of our shipping costs are due to postage. With large orders it is often closer to 10% of our shipping costs are due to postage. That means the majority of what you are paying for is labor. It takes a lot of labor to find, verify, and securely package 500 cards. Maybe we should call this a packaging fee and offer free shipping.

If your goal in having us reduce shipping fees is to make it possible for low priced cards to sell faster, that is a very tough sell. We don't make any money on low priced cards. If a card sells for $0.25, at most we made $0.05 off the cash-out fees, and in reality that number will be much closer to $0.02 because of all the recycled store credit. It doesn't make any business sense to lose money on shipping for items that we didn't make any money on to begin with.

Therefore, I think the costs involved with pulling and preparing cards we've sold to be shipped should be shouldered by the sellers. Perhaps the current seller fee structure does not allow for that, but it should. It's part of the process, and I don't think any seller could have much ground to complain about shouldering these costs as selling their cards is an essential part of what each and every seller is trying to do by sending cards to your company.
This is an interesting point, but I am pretty sure this conflicts with the previous point. If we charge sellers an extra $0.15 per card to cover the cost of shipping, that would eliminate all of the low priced cards on the site.

That said several sellers have offered to optionally pre-pay for shipping so that their items could be listed as having no extra shipping fees. This is something that we can entertain.

I bolded the "paying a little more" because that isn't really possible. We would have to double the cost of our cheapest processing service to offer what you are asking for. Any labor costs that we incur that aren't covered by our fees come directly out of my pocket. I wish I were independently wealthy and could offer this service for free just because I like you guys... but I can't. So we need to work together to figure out the next best alternative.

Interesting idea... I will have to ponder this one.

This seems to be a reoccurring theme. We are going to look into this very seriously.

We hear you... For the first year+ we were a leader in the industry by shipping nearly all of the orders placed within one business day. We learned that that is easy to do when you are small. Today we ship about 10 times more cards per day than we did a year ago. That growth came with some pains, but we have made a lot of investments to hopefully regain a lot of that customer satisfaction.

You can see our latest published stats here. We will be at the Cleveland National. We would love to chat in person with as many of you as possible. We are also looking into offering an opportunity for you to volunteer at our booth and get a free shirt. The voice of real buyers and sellers carries so much more weight than our voice.

We have been able to stay on top of all the Express and Priority processing. We expect to do the same for the new Standard processing as well. This is only possible because we have hired some more employees. We also have a few employees that will be returning for the summer, and our goal is to get caught up with the old budget processing items by the end of the summer.
