I hope they work on categorizing them all better. Also I hope they get to weed out the wrong descriptions. I was flipping through some pages and saw a 1982 Topps George Foster for a quarter that said it had an autograph on it. It was, of course, the preprinted facsimile auto.

Best to All,
Vinny

Yeah, there are some growing pains they are going through. It took more than 2 weeks for my cards to be posted. Also, as far as I know, they don't have a bulk pricing method. So I had to go through each card and price it then upload it. Took awhile. I was hoping they would have a way to export your list to excel then go through and price it. Then just upload it and away you go. But the positives out weigh the negatives. The fact that my wife will stop pestering me about the boxes of cards just sitting around everywhere is worth more than everything else.

Out of curiousity, how is this going for you?

Going well, I've sold another 14 dollars in cards since my last post. I've had some real lowball offers that I have declined, but I am still happy overall.

Are you still sending them 8000 cards?

I'm still a little wary of their 20% cash out costs -- a $1 card costs 40 cents to sell (granted, without any of the shipping hassle).

The percentage goes down though the way you use it...for example...

Lets say I sell 1,000 dollars worth...if I cash out I only get 800.00

Now lets say I send 500 cards to them and then cash out...I will get 720.00 back...add the 100 I spent on the 500 cards and I get 820.00 out of the 1,000. Now I lowered it to 18%.

Lets say I send 2,000 cards and then cash out. I will get 480.00 back...add the 400 I spent on the 2,000 cards and I get 880.00 out of the 1,0000. Now I lowered it to 12%.

The same is true if I spent 400 on single cards instead of listing cards. So I sell 1,000 dollars and spend 400 on singles that I like. Then cash out. I will get 480.00 cash plus 400 in singles. I now only had to pay 12%.

So it all depends on how you use it. And yes I do plan to send them 8,000 more cards.

Yeah -- but you aren't really 'reducing' the end result -- if you send them 10,000 cards by this method and all 10k end up selling and you have nothing left to sell, you need to pay 20% on the remaining balance.

If you plan to continue to list in perpetuity, then yes, you can hedge your costs by listing using your account balance.

All that being said -- I like everything else about potentially selling through them. Insertion fees are fixed, the card remains on the site until it sells, and once I send it to them, I never have to deal with it again (unless I take my cards back).

Yea but you can always end up buying stuff with the money. And hey 20% isn't all that bad compared to ebay. No hassles with the buyer, with paypal, so much easier, I am going to send in a few hundred card soon.

Wunder --
Noticed you sold a couple more cards -- I sent the guys an email asking them a few questions -- I'm curious to see what is moving and it what volume. For example -- I do a search for Wendell Fairley and Matt LaPorta and find no cards -- wondering if they have been sold or no one is listing them. If I get some sort of feeling that they are moving a decent volume of cards, I will probably be listing with them soon.

I've sent them 250 cards and will see what happens. About half of them are decent 5-15 dollar cards that would be tough to sell on ebay. The other half are 3-5 dollar cards. All of them are name players, no commons.

I'm not one to analyze things too much but the 20% cash out seems okay as long as I don't have to package and ship, etc. It's stuff I know would have sat around the house and I never would have gotten anything for them.

I'll report here if anything stands out about the service.

Best to All,
Vinny
