You've sold me. I am going to put together a bunch of stuff to send to cmc and see what happens. You also have to factor the amount of time spent listing packaging and going to the post office for those .99 cards. absolutely not worth it.

BINGO. That is why for every single card that I get in a pack now, I directly send it in to checkoutmycards for anything under $10 (ebay value not fake beckett value). Why waste all of that time scanning and packing and everything, and heck, you can use the CMG scans and use their drop ship service to ship the card to the buyer if you want to list it on ebay eventually. I am thinking of doing that for some of my cards that haven't sold on that site for a few months.

Shipping Cost: Regardless if a card is exhibited, sold or returned, the user agrees to pay all shipping costs between the user and CheckOutMyCards.com.

So if they went under, we would have to pay to get our cards back.

The only reason I ask is because I was going through the site and I see people who send big $$$ cards there. I don't think I would do that. No way. I can see sending base/inserts/parallels with some gu & autos but not big $$$ cards.

Do you guys think there is that much exposure at this website?

It is getting there....they had a booth at the national show. As JBS said Baseball seems to sell the best on there. The site gives those with a large inventory of vintage cards an option to sell them other than fleabay.

I haven't sent any high end cards because they don't seem to move. There have been several high dollar FB autos and GUs I have been eyeing. Each is still sitting there since I started on the site months ago.

Also CMC needs to have a comment field so users can communicate with each other when making/accepting offers.

I'm sure its in this thread somewhere but I'm going to ask it anyway. Do you send each card in sleeve and toploader or just # count boxes?

Also is there anyway to see if certain cards are for sale or have sold?

In the current form I would not send in high end cards. Like I said, if the card can sell on ebay for over $10 I list it on ebay. I have not sent in 1 of my Sterling autos or game used cause they sell nicely on ebay. However perhaps 5-10 years down the line, if they can stay in business and advertise more in Beckett and get everybody to know that they are the new ebay for sports cards, then they can attract higher end cards. If they can have say 50% of every card ever made, then it will really help. I bring this up cause if you look at hockey, there is barely anything up. And in baseball there are a few hundred of the top player, but that is perhaps still not enough for somebody who is looking to fill up remaining sets. This platform has enough potential to be great, once they can attract a lot of buyers it will be very good. But at the current state they are in phase 1 of their plan. That is load up the site with a whole lot of cards, a lot of competition, people lower their prices, and then go into phase 2 and advertise and then bring on the buyers and then this platform can hopefully replace ebay for a lot of sports cards sells.

Nope because the site allows you to buy a card, reprice it and then add it to your current inventory.
