Offers must be at least 1/2 the ask price, so maybe the ask is so high that 1/2 the ask price is still too high?

alazarevich, thats why I'm trying to find the person. To me the Boggs Patch card is nice, but I'm not looking to pay 80+ for one /10, even at 50% off its @ 40+ and I'd much rather be in the low 30's is possible.

....since COMC wont help you get in touch with the seller?

I asked everyone there for two weeks to get me in touch with one guy because I wanted to do a large bulk lot for less than 50%..

Im told they cant do that or relay the info, and with the new blind auction feature they are charging $$ for I dont think they want us talking to each other anyway...

I finally found the guy by accident and bought the cards, but its a pain not to be able to communicate...and I would like to know if Ive got a card priced too high and someone wants to make an offer less than 50%

I don't mind the no communication. In fact, I kind of like it. If you are willing to accept a less than 50% off offer, then you probably should just lower your starting asking price to reflect that. I can see where it could be a pain for port offers, especially for sellers willing to entertain port offers to have to reprice a bunch of stuff... but overall I like the way the site is run now. I don't really need to hear your excuse for why you need to offer me 50% on an item already marked 75-85% off, where the next lowest copy on the site is more than double my asking price. I think the ability to openly communicate would lead to far more problems than completed deals.

Sometimes my "excuse" is that the card is priced too high, sometimes a cards value goes down and you are not able to keep up with the everchanging value of one card when you have thousands of listings....

But mainly I'm talking about offers that deal with port sales not individual cards.... Where a seller has to make the deal sweet enough for someone to buy all his cards, good and bad...

Damon..One intersting thing I started using was within the dashboard Show only Cards > than book value. I was suprized to find I had about 30 cards that were over book. I can only think of a few examples that I did keep over book (typically really nice patches), but a lot of my Tristar Autothentics were book fairly low and dropped (probably over a few months), but were never enough to cause the flag in the system.

you can also use the recently modified drop down too. It gives the last date of beckett/comc price updates (thought it also does show the cards you manually changed pricing on but the dates are there) I use this more than anything since I don't seem to get price change emails anymore
