Default high res pics in eBay item description?

Some sellers get some really nice high res pics into their item descriptions. How are they doing that? Are they editing the HTML and pointing to an image on another web server? (like how people do on blowout)

How is this done?

I get a lot of questions about looking for high res scans, and I'd prefer to just start putting high res scans in the description.

Thanks in advance!

Yep, I edit the auction under the basic editor then switch to the HTML and put an image location from my photobucket into the text. Surprised ebay allows it but it works...

Works like a charm, thanks!

The html I use is:

Totally works.

Thanks for this! I have been wondering the same thing for a little while now.

I created some listing for high end cards, and put some high res scans in the item description using the above method, and it worked at first, but eBay has removed the links to the high res scans. So now my description says: "Look at high res scans below for condition of card" yet there is no high res scan. Not very professional looking.

Does anyone know why eBay removes high res scans? Do I need to use links to pre-approved domains like imageshack or whatever? Is any seller able to put in high res scans and eBay LEAVES them there? If so, I'd love to hear about how you do that, there's got to be a way because I see other auctions with the high res scans.

I'm guessing I'll just have to contact eBay and ask them myself, not sure I'll get an answer, but it's worth a shot.

If anyone has an idea, would love to hear about it.

Thanks!

Alex

Well, now the links are back. I really was sure they weren't there when I looked a couple of hours ago, but maybe I brain farted. Either way, they are back now and it's working, so never mind my previous post.
