Default What should I do???

I sold an 07/08 UD Premier Evgeni Malkin 3 Clr Triple Jersey *ROY* on July 14

07/08 OPC Premier Evgeni Malkin Triple Jersey #'ed /100 - eBay (item 220254685132 end time Jul-14-08 16:14:55 PDT)

I give buyers 7 days to make payment. Before the 7th day if the item hasn't been paid for I send them a nice reminder:

"Your payment is due. If I do not recieve payment I will have to file an unpaid item dispute against you. If there is a problem please let me know. THanks, NICK"
I usually give them an extra couple of days to respond. Didn't get a response so I filed a NPB against them. I thought I was fair. So last night, the day before I was going to close the dispute to get my FVF's back, when I got home from the rink I checked my email before bed and got this message from Ebay:

I sincerely apologize for the delay in payment. To make a long story short, my PayPal account was hacked into and my credit/debit card has been compromised. My bank has sent me a new card and the PIN is scheduled to arrive on 7/30. Again, I apologize for the delayed payment. If you check my feedback, I always pay very promptly. Had I known it was going to take this long, I would’ve sent a money order. I will make the payment as soon as I get my new PIN.

Thanks,

Jason

Now my question is:

Should I wait a few days more to see if he pays since today is the 30th or should I get my FVF back and send a 2nd chance offer to someone. If I relist I don't think there is anyway I will get what this card sold for. They were going for $15-25 consistently. This buyer has 100% feedback and has a feedback rating of (407).

What should I do? Any suggestions will be great. I haven't responded to his message yet.

He has a good ebay rating, I would give him a few more days, it worth the extra $10-$15 you will stand to lose if you relist it.

Or tell him to send money order, immediately and let you know when he mails it.

I do the same thing request that all payments are made within 7 days of the listing end. I have had a couple folks I have sent reminders to on the 7th day and within 24hrs got a payment and a message with an explanation why it took so long. What is another day or two going to hurt? Sure once the PIN issue is fixed he will fire in the payment.

dont close the dispute until you get your money...I would also wait a few days...your lucky you got an email, I have someone from mid-July that I emailed last week saying Im giving them until this saturday to pay and nothing, no payment or response....gotta love eBay saying there is nothing we can do about these fools, can't even let other sellers be aware by leaving a negative feedback..

Default Update!!!

The guy finally paid for the card. 1 Day before the deadline I gave him before he would recieve a strike against him.
