Default I know it's petty but...

Well, I just got to blow off a bit of steam and I also just need everyone to tell me to stop being stupid...so here goes...

Okay, I have a card up now with an overly high bin/bo (first run at this). I got an offer that I was considering but it expired before I could respond...lesson learned, whatever. However, a few hours later the same bidder made the same offer but added a note to the effect of:

"made another offer, dont know if you know but last two began at 1.99 and ended at $xxx and $xxx so my offer is fair and you likely won't do better"

Oh, he was off by a decent amount telling me what the previous ones sold for (which I didn't get since I could look at completed auctions too).

For some reason, this kind of pissed me off...I went from, yeah I could probably live with that offer, especially since I'm new and it's a valuable card, to not wanting to take his money because I though that was kind of a di*k comment on his part. The guy has perfect like 2000 feedback, so I know I'm being stupid, but it's still bugging me.

you'll experience worse people/comments than that as you sell. brush it off and make money.

Yeah, I know...I was mostly ticked because he goes and quotes what the other cards allegedly went for and he was off by over $100...did he not think I knew what other ones had gone for?

It's frustrating because I sold my first item today...an a&g set to a guy in Ireland...I went out of my way to accomodate him and changed my shipping to worldwide and am throwing in a bunch of stuff and even still ended up undercharging shipping...I was feeling good as I'm sure the guy will appreciate it, so I guess this other guy just really got to me.

mag=magnum

.30-06

The .30-06 Springfield cartridge (pronounced “thirty-aught-six” or "thirty-oh-six") or 7.62 x 63 mm in metric notation, was introduced to the United States Army in 1906 (hence “06”) and standardized, used until the 1960s and early 1970s.

It was developed from and superseded the nearly identical .30-03, having a slightly shorter case neck but identical overall length, and a higher velocity spitzer bullet. There were three main production runs of the round that roughly correspond to large stocks built up during wars: the initial .30-06, the M1 Ball, and the M2 Ball.

300 Win Mag

300 Winchester Magnum (known as .300 Win Mag or in metric countries as 7.62 x 67 mm) is a popular magnum rifle cartridge that was introduced by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1963 as a member of the family of Winchester Magnum cartridges. It is an accurate, long-range round with a relatively flat trajectory.

In case I ever want to do a group break, I thought I should start posting useful information

My one bid just jacked up your Wright / Howard / Pujols quite a bit. Thought I be the high bidder with all that time left but I guess the current high bidder threw his max on and is letting it fly. Maybe I'll come back for a last second snipe ?!

Screw the guy trying to bone you with his BS price quotes. I'd block him just for p*ssing me off because I'm sure someone else will at least match his offer.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I countered with a price that was between what two other copies of the card went for and much to my surprise he purchased it.
