Default how to best sell BDPP base/chrome lots?

I've been racking my brain trying to come up with a good way to sell 2010 BDPP base/chrome lots. I've got 6-10 cases worth of players lots sorted and ready to go. (takes up 4-5 x 3000 card boxes) I thought about selling on here, but just making a thread that big would be huge and I really don't know if I can manage all that. I also thought about selling the big name player lots on eBay, and then doing all the rest of the player lots as one big multi-item-BIN, buyer chooses the player and card #, then makes an order. Here's what I have:
  • Base BDP1-110 (20-30 each player)
  • Chrome BDP1-110 (10-20 each player)
  • Base BDPP1-110 (40-50 each player)
  • Chrome BDPP1-110 (10-20 each player)

NOTE: I'm looking to save time rather than milk every single penny I can out of each lot.

Any advice on how to sell these would be appreciated. Thanks!

This type of thing sells well on eBay:

Base BDP1-110 (20-30 each player)
Chrome BDP1-110 (10-20 each player)
Base BDPP1-110 (40-50 each player)
Chrome BDPP1-110 (10-20 each player)

By selling that many at a time, you'll actually make it worth your while selling base cards.

Do you mean selling a multi-player lot of 2200 cards? (# of cards in the set times the numbers of cards per player: 110 * 20 = 2200)

Or do you mean selling individual player lots of 20-30 cards each?

If I do individual player lots, that means 440 auctions (1-110 * 4), or if I combine base and chrome together, then it's 220 auctions. (1-110 * 2) Still, that's a lot of auctions, lots of typing, lots of scanning.

I'm just wondering if there is some magical way to avoid all that work. Probably isn't...

I did that with 2008 BDPP -- I listed all 165 players with everything I had for them

2008 BDPP #BDP27 Evan Longoria
9 Gold Border
7 Chrome
19 Base

Sold about 30-40% of the lots, made decent money, rest went back into the box pile (which I need to pull out and see if anyone has blown up that didn't sell).

I don't have as much as you alex but I have a few rows in monter boxes from Bowman/Chrome and Draft I would like to move. There is so much available that they don't even move on sportlots for 0.18!

I would love to sell sets, and tried selling those when the product came out, but man they sold like junk. Almost had to give them away.

Looks at this auction:
2010 BOWMAN DRAFT PICKS & PROSPECTS - PROSPECTS SET 110 - eBay (item 110662157252 end time Mar-22-11 19:49:32 PDT)
A complete BDPP1-110 set for $2.08, plus $3.50 shipping. That's $5.58. Shipping on the set is going to be at least $3 on that, probably more. That is crazy low.

If it turns you are interested in the prospects sets and willing to do a deal for more than $2/set + shipping, then yeah, I'm game. I can sort them back into sets pretty easy. I can build 26 x BDPP1-110 (non-chrome) and 8 x BDPP1-110 Chrome sets. PM me if interested.

Two of the monster boxes are almost full of Chrome BDP1-110 and BDPP1-110. I busted 10 cases of the product.

You run a 'random card' scam at 0.01$ a pop

Just kidding, that sure seems like a lot of work.

You can try team master lot with the prospect & chromes. And use the left over base to do player's specifics.

May lessen the work but it means resorting everything.

Of the Chrome RCs and Prospects; how many sets do you have of those?

I am talking about 20 to 30 card player lots.

this is the way to do it..........

research ended listings first. list the top 20 players (base & chrome individually)......... then sit on the rest to see who gets hot from week to week.

Got it. Player lots is the way to go. I'll just have to keep watching completed items to scan for hot players.

One more question though: do you mean list base and chrome separately or together? For example, I have 30 x BDPP80 Base cards and 10 x BDPP80 Chrome cards. Should I list those cards in one 40 card lot? Or two different lots of 30 Base and then 10 Chrome?

I've bought lots of players like Taillon and Machado with chromes separated and together. The ones that are combined tend to sell for higher prices than the individual (chrome and base) from what I've seen.

Okay, thanks guys, really appreciate the advice. I much prefer to sell in combined base/chrome lots, it's less work. And the higher the sale price, the lower the eBay Final Value Fee percentage is of my cut. So I'm going to go the combined route. Thanks!

I'd be interested in 3-5 chrome sets. What kind of price can you do?

Well, I'm sorry but I really don't want to build the sets. First off, they sell really cheap, so you'd probably be much better off finding some on eBay. Second, I'd have to sort out 3-5 of every card BDPP1-110, whereas I have them all sorted by # now, and that's a lot of time sorting I really don't want to spend.
