Default Minneapolis Sports Collectible Convention

Has anyone ever been to this show?

I am trying to decide if the show is worth the drive (about 45 minutes). I dont really care too much for the autograph lineup, more looking for some deals on boxes.

If anyone has any experience at this show let me know.

Thanks,
E

Is this the one at Earle Browne, or a different show?

The auto fees are pretty expensive for it, haven't been to the show before though

I went last year. It has a decent number of tables, but I went through it pretty quickly. Didn't find any really good buying deals (most at or above Ebay), but sold nearly $2000 worth of stuff to one dealer. If it wasn't for that, I would have considered the show to be disappointing.

I have gone to all of them. They have one every six months and this will be their 3rd show. Their first one was by far away their best. Great dealers and auto line up. They had a couple wholesale wax dealers there the first time.

The second time this last november their auto line up was weak and it reflected in the dealers that showed up, and as far as wax there were no dealers there just a few selling a couple boxes. With their auto lineup being just as bad as the last one i don't anticipate there being any good wax dealers there again i hope i am wrong though.

It is a good show for supplies and i always keep PSA busy. PSA being there is the main reason why i go every time. Plus Mr. Mint is always there so i like walking past him and thinking about how douchey he is.

Ahh so you can bring treats and PSA will verify? Bring back that Sid Rice jersey!

How much approx per item? Vary by player?

Yes i always bring a hull for them to certify. I also drop off cards for grading. They don't grade on site but it save a bunch of money on shipping and insurance one way at least.

The certs depend on player of course. The cost is the same as if mailing to them but this way you save money on shipping and insurance both ways so you save a ton. They are pretty good on the amount of time to certify too. The first time i dropped off Friday night and they were done Saturday afternoon. Last time i got there right away on Friday and they got done Friday night.

The rice jersey is gone lol...sold it.
