I am new to this and was wondering if it was better to use BIN or just set an aution at .99 cent and let it fly? which way gets better prices? OR is there another way that is better? thanks for the help.

You will get different responses from different people. With singles I have more success starting at $.99 and letting them go. I don't do well with just a BIN or BO.

It depends. I like to start auctions at .99 cents for stuff that is questionably to sell, $9.99 for nicer stuff, than $24.99, and $49.99 and up. I like to be on the border of the next price range.

For example a card that has been selling on ebay for $20-35 on a constant basis, I would start it at $24.99. Thats how I do it, save ebay fees as much as you can, but try not to take a hit on selling stuff at 99 cents cause you never know when you $80 card sells for $60.

But when in doubt about the price I say start it at 99 cents.

i tryed the 0.99 cent auctions & every card that sells at 0.99 cents you take a loss on heres why

0.20 eaby fee
0.35 paypal fee
0.01 fvf
0.03 paypal fee
0.59 cents total
0.41 cents for your time
so they get 59% of the total if your item sells at 0.99 cents
if its jerseys & autos your selling that you want $1 or $2.00 for sell them in lots & save the fees as for the better stuff 20% mb cards on ebay sell for 10 to 30% unless its realy good

Card shop, higher your shipping and handling fee. I charge a lot for handling, cause I feel my time is valueable. I don't know how people ship cards for $1-2 it is stupid, the bubble envelope is 10+ cents, driving to the post office with wear and tear and gas is another 10+ cents, then actual shipping is $1.13 atleast. So that will add up to $2 without any handling fee. Say you make $20-40 at work for an hour, then that should be your handling fee. It takes like 5 minutes to find the card, pack it, and ship it, so that is your handling fee. It should be atleast $1, I charge $1.75. So you can do 99 cents listing and still "make" money with shipping and handling.

for brand new product i like to start most auctions at 99 cents and let it run just to save on fees...

all other products ill check out the completed auctions to see if they have been selling, and if they have, ill start auctions anywhere from 2.99 (low end jsys and autos) to 9.99 (higher selling jsys/autos)

for high dollar cards for products that have been out, ill throw it up on ebay for a rediculous amt the first time just to see if anyone would bite and to see the kin of offers I would get.. like i did with my gretzky auto (shamless plug).. the last one sold for about 400.. so i threw it up there for double that. never know..

Yea but why charge Canada the same as France? I do $3.75 for US, $4 for Canada, and $4.25 worldwide.

Yes, Canada is cheaper than America also, but worldwide is more expensive. I don't have the usps site open know, but I know sending a pound to Canada is like $5 where to Australia is like $10.
