Default Ugh!!

Not really a rant on the seller (yet at least.) I ended up watching a card not sell multiple times and finally contacted the seller as I really wanted the card. It was a nice cut auto of Bulldog Turner with a jersey piece and just happened to look at it today and sadly...it's creased.

Just sent the seller a message and waiting to hear back. Makes me want to cry as it would have looked great in my PC! Hopefully the seller doesn't make this too hard for me, which I doubt they will, but just had to sigh a little the moment I saw the crease. At least I hadn't sold my other one yet.

And I wake up to message saying, along the lines of, sorry to hear about it, but we have a no return policy. So...paypal claim has been filed. Probably end up blocked from their stuff, but such is life. The card is damaged and not going to pay $50 for a damaged card. I do figure it most likely happened during shipping as it looks like it was pressed on, but as we all know, what happens in the mail is the sellers fault even if they have no control over it.

I tried to be nice and just handle it without getting paypal involved, but to no avail, of course.

I wonder if sellers that tell buyers "sorry to hear about it, but we have a no return policy" think that they are fooling buyers into thinking there is nothing the buyer is going to be able to do. what fools.

Yeah, it was a great card. Very full auto and nice jersey piece, but the crease kills it. Le sigh.

Had to escalate my dispute to a claim. The seller continues to refuse to allow me to return the item for a refund. He offered $10 back, but really not worth hanging onto even at that price.

I will keep you guys updated on this seller.

Not sure when it arrived, but I didn't get to open it until Monday when I got back from my trip. I finally sat down to scan it Thursday night and happened to nice the damage just as I was getting ready to put it on the scanner.

The seller is fairly new, so probably not all that familiar with paypal/ebay's thoughts on shipping damage, etc. It's now under review with paypal as he has responded apparently, so we shall see.

His name is: hxcdavidjones

Still an ongoing issue. Just a message from Paypal yesterday that they wanted to know where I bought it from. So, had to make a PDF file just so I could tell them and show them the auction that had ended and explain I contacted him after it was already over to see if he still had it.

So after a week of waiting...they decided they needed more info...why? I do not know. So, I'm sure it will be another week before they decide anything at all. Not sure where I bought it has to do with anything, really, but what do you expect from paypal?

Just got an e-mail today from Paypal to ship the item back to the seller and I would get my full refund. I figured this would be the end result, but I just had to jump through all the hoops to get there.

I'll let you all know when it's all said and done completely.
