EXACTLY! Let's not forget it is PAYPAL who caused this whole mess. Why should the OP have to go through all this hassle and stress? Paypal is an absolute nightmare, and for them to side with the buyer in this case when the OP did EVERYTHING that WE always do is SCARY guys.

So in the end paypal wins? They still got your fees and then when the buyer gave you the money back you had to pay fees again, freaken ridicoulous.

I hate PayPal! They always side with the buyer. They need to just be "fair" and look at every case as its own "different" case.

This is one big reason I don't accept PayPal as a form of payment anywhere. I have a PayPal account but its only linked to my credit card, not my bank account. I've heard enough stories of buyers being screwed by PayPal in one way or another.....especially after I worked for a retailer that sold heavily on eBay. We got the shaft so many times.

Well it will be very hard for a new payment service to come into business. I wish we had another choice, but we do not.

cardshopmd, that is not accurate. Bidpay is no longer owned by western union, and no longer is a money order service. Bidpay is now set up in an identical manner to paypal. You have to link a credit card and bank account and credit card payments are processed by bidpay and deposited in to your linked bank account. The seller now pays the processing fees of 2.75%, and the buyer does not even have to be registered to use the service. They can simply enter the information and the user id of the seller and make their payment. I use the service on some items and have had good success with it. Makes life easier when I have really busy months and reach my maximum processing limit with my merchant provider.

This is how to deflect a paypal chargeback:

Step 1: Withdraw your money every day (I suck at this but that is the best way)
Step 2: Transfer funds from the account linked to paypal to another account
Step 3: Leave $1 in the linked account to keep it open

Let the b-stards try to take money from you then. Works with my account, I have it at Wachovia and it is free.

but if you don't have your main paypal acct linked to a bank then you are restricted to how much you can withdraw/send (or transfer) per month. how do you get around this?
