Default eBay.....

Had a buyer open up a claim cause has not received his item yet. I checked th tracking and it shows delivered. So I escalate the claim and ask eBay not to provide a refund as the item was in fact delivered. And........ They gave him a refund anyway! Ha!

was it delivered to the wrong address or something? no reason they should have given a refund if it was delivered.

If you printed a label through eBay, then I'd call PayPal and appeal. Unless it was over $250 and you didn't provide signature confirmation.

What's the point of delivery confirmation if that's not proof enough it was delivered?

I think it has to be a confirmed address for delivery confirmation to protect you

Why, i did not make a mistake here. Either the guys address was wrong in the PayPal system to the p.o. Screwed up. Either way there was nothing I could have done differently. I've sold 366 items so far in August alone, 5-6 issues are bound to pop up. no too worried about it. Just griping

Not sure why I would take offense, unless you mean by "luck" you mean I suck at ebay. Either way I dont take offense. Yes I have had a bad string of encounters.

On the other had Ive started selling here on B.O. and so far its been a much better experience. If all goes well with these very large transactions I may convert 100%

There are times when the DC # shows delievered but the package in fact never actually made it to your buyers hand. You literally cannot say "as the item was in fact delivered". I highly doubt that you travelled over there and watched his postal worker put your exact package in his slot.

Man you always are the voice of dissent aren't you? Next time waste your time saying something relevant.

Or the voice of reality? Newsflash is that you are not always right. If I was your buyer and I never got your package regardless of what DC says I would get my money back.

Of course you will get your money back because eBay would side with you.

Yep and as a seller if you don't like that then eBay isn't for you. I know it's not for me as a seller. I do all of my selling here and it's always worked out for me.

Bring all your business here friend!

If you did all these, eBay should not give the buyer a refund:

To qualify for eBay Seller Protection, be sure to:
Communicate proactively with your buyer throughout the transaction.
Ship items within 7 days of the stated handling time on your listing. For pre-ordered or made-to-order goods, ship within the timelines stated in your listing.
Use a shipping method that provides tracking information and/or valid delivery confirmation to the address in the PayPal transaction details or eBay order details page.
Signature confirmation is required for transactions over $250.
Retain your shipping documentation
Respond to the eBay resolution process in a timely manner.
