Default Christmas Sales? How did everyone do?

Hopefully the after christmas sales angle worked out for everyone as it did for me.

looks like pre-ebay/paypal fees and not including the profit from shipping fees, i sold about $1500 worth of stuff.. still have a few things to sell (2 arod road to 500 sets, gilmore orange ref auto, and a couple other lots)

my 2007 bowman chrome draft sales alone totaled $774.50 and will top 1k if i could sell the gilmore orange auto ref.

non-bcdp notable sales (some surprises, some disappointments) include:

2007 LL barry sanders jsy/auto $77.39
2007 BC FB Alan Branch Red Ref $16.59
07/08 Artifacts Wayne Gretzky Autofacts $202.49 (disappointment but oh well)
2007 BCFB Marshawn Lynch Blue auto $85.00
2007 Absolute Brady Quinn RPM Auto $77.00
2007 Elite Extra Moustakas Auto $56.08

couple bcdp sales that surprised me..

34 prospect refractor lot $51.56
adrian cardenas 4clr patch $42.33

anyways... not too bad... just looked at the ebay fees and its 111.24 yikes. good thing the shipping will help offset that a little....so yeah. looks like i have enough for 2-3 more cases of bcdp.............or pay down my cc. decisions decisions. 2-3 more shots at huge hits.. we'll see.

hope everyone did well

Not too bad on the draft. Where you able to keep anything?

As for me, looks like I should make it out of Topps 52 around even. I have one base set, a partial master set and my refractor set still to sell.

I really wish I could buy some draft but I am trying to rid myself of everything in preparation for my move back to Texas. However, if the price goes down any more I may just buy a couple and have them delivered to my parents.

with my draft sales as it stands, i still have a handful of autos i wanted to keep.. and have all the chrome prospects in about 5-8 ct lots... i still have about 10 base rc sets, and base prospects as well. i might throw those in lots along with the chrome come spring training.

i still need to sell the gilmore orange auto, and the 2 arod road to 500 sets..

not bad right? after the dust settles im definitely getting one more case.. hopefully 2.. gonna rip those as well and go through sorting hell to get those out of the way.

the Gretzky sale says all that needs to be said about the hockey card market place. Very, very soft far worse than this time last year and that was pretty bad. Things will need to pick up in early 08 ( Jan & Feb) or I'll be lying real low, something or someone needs to inject some life into things, cause UD is just killing us hockey guys.........

CAP,

I took a last minute BO of $205 for my Gretzky Auto and it was #/50. Did you ever find out what your Gretzky SP was # to?

HJ- UD would not tell the good Capt when he called them to inquire. That was on another thread- if UD prints less than the product before in their minds it becomes a SP. Each insert run should be s/n'ed in my opinion. How much effort would that entail? who knows? but it would certainly add to the collectible nature of most if all not products...........

the numbering on the gretzky card, UD considers a "trade secret".

who knows why. maybe because their mixture for the serial numbered gold coloring is ultra triple top secret...but who knows if THEY THEMSELVES even knew what the s/n'ing was. jerks.

I did great, I got rid of all my old inventory that was a few years old. I made close to $10,000 in sales for the 6 week period. It was pretty good, I didn't think I would hit $3,000 in sales but I hit $10,000 some how.

Well I got 1K on video games
2K on laptops
Then I had some T206 cards
Some Bonds cards
and then just the boxes.

I still can't believe I hit $10K. And I will get like $16 back from the powerseller challenge lol.

I was in the same "boat" as Capt B. Kinda wondering what you sold, glad to see it was not any new issue hockey products unless you were just dumping 5/6 Cup hockey tins or Crosby/AO high end RCs.............

No I sell boxes of cards and packs primarily. I however buy 1 big lot a month (like my $6,000 T206 lot, my $4,000 Bonds lot) so that helped me a lot. I also bought $1,000 worth of video games and dvds. I then had like 5 Dell Laptops which sold for $550 each.
