Right now I just stick to variety....because I don't have much of the latest players/rookies and am afraid of throwing away 50-100 bux to list these guys.

If I knew at least they weren't in the top 50 players from the past year then I would not send in as many of that player.

Players in question is Alonzo Mourning and Mark Mcgwire. Should I just hold onto these guys that I have 3,000 cards of? Does anyone give an "S" about these players that they would even have 1 buyer?

Thanks for the help as this is a frustrating thing nightly when I pack boxes together for sending in the future.
We have the exact same feature for players as we do sets. It's available here: Browse Players - CheckOutMyCards.com

Well don't I feel dumb. I've never even used the Players tab before. I always just type in the players name...

Excellent saves me some headache.
Thanks much for showing me the light.

what is the time cutoff for when cards are supposed to be due? 5pm PST? Midnight PST?

I've had cards show up 12:30 am to 1 am central, so it is technically before midnight pacific, where they are located. So I guess the cutoff is midnight pacific time.

The site hasn't been working for me either. I've had problems yesterday and today.

Did anyone else see this "possible" change...

Game Used & Autographed Card Changes
– We will be adding the ability for the site to easily search for game used and/or autographed cards.
– These cards take a lot longer for us to process, and they require additional care because they are easier to damage. Rather than cutting corners to reduce costs, we want to add a $0.10 surcharge that will cover the additional labor required to properly handle these cards and add the additional metadata required to make them searchable as game used and/or autographed cards.
– The $0.10 processing surcharge per game used or autographed card would affect any cards that are postmarked November 1st or later

I hope this doesn't happen.

This issue is resolved. We were doing some site optimizations and unfortunately, time-outs occurred. Thanks for your patience.

was thinking about the new bulk special at COMC, and for the life of me, cant figure out what to send--or for that matter, how anybody is gonna make out with this--ex--i have a 3200 count box of 1971-1974 baseball cards, but i look on COMC and see 10-15 of each card already being offered--if i think about sending in a whole set;(that may not have a high concentration of cards on the sight), it's pretty much gonna be a bunch of commons that wont sell for even .05 each---just wondering what some of you havecome up with to send in--thanks

We all need to voice our opinions on this. I've still got to send my email to Tim on this.

Hey guys, we have already heard your voice loud and clear. There are more than 100 commends on my Possible Changes blog post. We are not going to add a $0.10 surcharge for game used and autos, but we are testing a 1 month service that is only $0.20.
Testing New Services CheckOutMyCards.com Blog

We are hoping that people with game used and auto cards would prefer to pay $0.20 for 1 month service than $0.15 for 8 week service. You guys get to test out the new service options. If enough people use the 1 month service, we will probably keep it.

Do cashout requests usually take awhile? I made one around midnight Monday morning and it has yet to surface.

It sometimes takes up to four days. So let us know if it's not there by tomorrow.

I am about to drop a large lot of 2010 Finest Football in the mail to COMC. How soon will COMC be able to list these cards? As soon as Beckett puts in descriptions?

If Beckett doesn't give them BV by the time they are due to list, they won't have any prices associated with them until Beckett updates their prices again. They don't hold back posting cards if Beckett doesn't price stuff on time.

Just noticed that both the original owner and the current owner are now being listed. This lets everybody know that a card is being flipped. I don't know how I feel about this, but it's definitely going to be a huge detriment to flippers.

holy smokes you are right. I probably have a 50/50 split between my own cards and cards I have purchased since I have been on there. I have to agree with your thinking. The only positive I can think of at the moment is it might stop someone from making lowball after lowball offer when you keep countering with the same amount each time. This might give them the idea that you are at the lowest price you can go since they know right off the back you are flipping.
I do wish they got our input on this one or atleast make it just a seller feature to start with on the dashboard, like where you can see how much you purchased said card for.

Yeah, I'm kinda pissed that I just bought a bunch of cards to flip last night. I don't think flippers are too popular amongst buyers and I think it's going to be tough to get rid of these cards now. I agree this is a pretty huge move to make without asking for feedback (given that they had a 100 post discussion on whether or not to increase the fee on game used by a dime). This is bad news for the folks that already have thousands of dollars of cards they were trying to flip.

Nevermind. Got it. Luckily I flipped most of the stuff I had those intentions for.
