Default Does anyone know the eBay user, sokposse?

This guy makes an offer on an Oscar Taveras Bowman Chrome Auto for $150 (I had it up for $174.99). I accept the B.O. price and send it to this guy the same day as I've done with the 4000+ other items that I have sold. The card was received on 4/18 by him. On 4/20, I get an email from eBay that this guy opens up an "Item doesn't match the description" dispute against me, without even contacting me first. Fine, I can handle that, don't think it's right, but I can deal. (The case details are below, starting at bottom to top)
As you can see, I told him to send the card back as well as let me know what in the description didn't match the card? I gave him my phone number and he already had my information from the dispute thread. Not a word or email from this guy for a week. Then 4/27 he wants my address again, which he already had, and again, I say send it back and proceed to ask why it didn't match the description. In the meantime, I saw that he purchased another Taveras Auto the same day he opened the dispute, for $28 cheaper than what he got mine for. I also, told him if he got another card for cheaper, then just say that, why start a dispute without communicating... Anyway, today was 9 days since he opened the case and still no card, so I wanted to know what my options were and called eBay. They told me to escalate the dispute, because they saw that he was trying to manipulate the eBay Buyer Protection Program and said that it would be ruled in my favor as well as if he left a bad feedback, then I would be protected by eBay and it would be removed. So, I said, great, do it, because this was hanging over my head and I didn't want this guy ruining my seller rating, which up to this point was 100% after 4700+ items sold, not to mention my DSR's were 5 stars out of 5 stars, including 373 item matches description ratings in the last 12 months. Well, the dispute was ruled in my favor, for Buyer Protection Manipulation by this particular buyer. Of course, this didn't go over well with sokposse and he proceeded to leave negative feedback by saying: Card wasnt nrmt or better as stated in the auction! Asked to return item, denied!
Well first, it wasn't an auction, he made an offer on the fixed price I had it at and I accepted, as well as told him to send the card back twice, and I did not deny him! So, I called eBay to have the feedback removed and their crack team of specialists (which is BS in itself), refused to remove the feedback, stating the guy didn't use any vulgar language or violate any of the feedback policy, even though he violated the eBay Buyer Protection clause, not to mention the outright lies he put in the feedback. EBay, says feedback is his opinion and if that's the case, why are we being judged by peoples opinions?? Especially, when we, the seller, can't leave negatives for the buyers?? He's been reported, but it will be very slim that anything gets done. Can anyone let me know if there is something else I can do? Should I try calling the buyer or Send an email to someone that is high up in eBay or any other ideas? Or do I have to just eat it and quit bitching about it? 9 and a half years of 100% feedback, down the drain, because eBay bends over backwards for buyers that don't tell the truth, consistently don't pay or try to start malicious disputes and nothing happens to them. Is there another place to sell my cards? Ebay is becoming a joke!! I will take any suggestions that anyone may have or help. Thank you for taking the time to read this book, but as you can see, it really bothers me. My eBay seller ID is scottavl. Once again, thank you for your help.

Your message to the buyer:

"Yes, that's fine. Can you please let me know what was wrong with the card? You opened up an item not as described dispute and I still don't know why. I have 373 DSR ratings in the last 12 months, with a 5 out 5 rating in "item as described" on every single one. I saw that you bought another card for a cheaper price and that's fine, but to open up this dispute, without contacting me first and then not giving me a reason just isn't fair. If its because you bought another, that's totally fine, but please just say that. You sell too, and try to put yourself in my position. Just like you, I work hard to keep my ratings 5 out of 5 and feel this case was opened up without merit or communication. I'm very easy to work with, because i also collect and I always describe my items just as they are and the pictures are of the exact card. So please, I just ask for honesty, as I'm sure you would want the same from any buyer. Here's my # again, if you'd like to call (831)521-1665. Thank you very much."

Tick tock, just a matter of time. Ebay is doing its best to kill itself. You contnue to screw sellers and they quit selling. Then the buyers have nothing to buy/scam. Next thing you know Ebay is gone. They better change the way they do business soon before a Google or Microsoft comes out with a better mousetrap. Your story is exactly what I am afraid of with my 100% perfect feedback over 14 years. Sorry it happened to you.

at least leave a reply to his bogus feedback. I thought once a case was closed feedback could not be left. You can always leave that false positive on his side if ebay wants to play that game w/you. I'm sure you will still be @100% or like 99.9999999 for your feedback. I'm going to block this toolbox. Thanks!

Thank you jmscoggins and Cactuspies for your posts to my problem. I hope to help out any others that may have this problem. I'm still seething today and its been 24 hours, but I just keep going back to the person that told me to escalate the case to begin with. I thought as well, that if a case is closed in your favor, the other party couldn't leave feedback, but I must have been mistaken. I wish I had taped the call to the EBay specialists, because that was a 2 and a half hour joke and waste of oxygen, because all I heard was, "ya, ya, ya, ya" and the "well sir we have a feedback policy that I need to understand and he didn't violate that", which was said 6 times during the conversation, like she was reading a piece of paper of how to handle situations that arise in that office. I could barely understand their broken english, which is why i spent 2.5 hours playing ping-pong back and forth!! Where do these people get hired from?? It was very disheartening to go through that. I hope that none of you sellers ever have to go through that, because they make you feel that you don't mean anything to them. Looking back, my feeling that they do care, may have been my first problem. PLEASE SOMEONE COME OUT WITH ANOTHER SITE TO RIVAL THIS MONSTER SITE THAT IS ONLY WORRIED ABOUT THEIR PROFIT!!

Call them back and tell them, even though this doesn't start till May 1st (tomorrow) - that you would appreciate if they would re-consider. There is a reason this policy is taking effect and it is to protect sellers like yourself, who win a case and then receive a negative feedback.

Thanks my friend! I did just that today and had a real helpful person take the call. They are reviewing it again, as well as investigating this particular buyers recent transactions and account. I don't know if anything is going to come of it, but at least I see a little bit of investigating on their part... Not much, but at least it's something. Once again, thank you for the link.

Sorry that happened. But thanks for sharing so I can add to my blocked list. I know Collector Revolution exists and doesn't have listing fees, but I have not had any luck selling on there yet -- ebay has the corner on the market, for now....

Thank you for everyone's comments relating to this matter and I'm happy to say, EBay removed the feedback!! Trust me I was very surprised and relieved to see that they had done that!! Zerocruel, thank you for suggesting I call back, because I think that may have been the tipping point for them and I don't think I would've called back without that link!! Thank you everyone!!
