I'll look into their deal. I am hoping to have this shipped and at comc by next friday.

We are still selling mid-low to high end cards on ebay.

We're selling vet base and other junk base in flat rate boxes. Between the tons of group breaks and the product we bust there's a lot to ship.

We're doing this to get 'free' wax and cards.
That's the way to do it!

Seems like the standard is for people to offer exactly 1/2 of what you list the card for, learned that one the hard way, so I need to update my prices from DIRT CHEAP to double dirt cheap, haha

The standard is for people to offer exactly the lowest amount that you allow. I only allow 90% bids since my prices are so low. Then I can accept almost every offer.

So, if the card was $1, then Ajax must have listed it at 50 cents, then COMC adds 50 cents "shipping" (eventhough they also charge shipping again on the back end????) and if he paid for 1 week processing, that's another 50 cents.

That's 50 cents in fees plus 50 cents in fees = $1, which is what you paid - kinda looks like COMC is the only one making anything on the sale of YOUR cards, can someone tell me where I went wrong?

I am aware there are cheaper listing options that take longer, but as someone else mentioned previously, you have to pay so many fees upfront, you have to sell 200 $2 cards in order to pay the fees to send in another order of 500-800 cards, wait an entire month - I don't have the patience and it worries me that a company could have 1,000's of my cards for months at a time and in some cases, I am not even able to sell or have them returned for 30 days at at a time

GREAT SITE! Just need to work out some kinks!
Since when have they started adding 50 cent for S&H? It was 25 cents.

I would take offers on my port. I am sending in another large lot soon. I think I'm going to send some higher end cards than I have before. I don't sell on ebay at all so might as well try it.

Can't seem to comprehend how many different ways the folks at COMC have gotten creative with their fees. You pay to ship them the cards, then 50 cents to scan and post, then another 50 cents added for "shipping" to the asking price, then the buyer ALSO has to pay shipping - hmmmmm???? then when you want to cash it out, there is a $1 charge for "small cash out fee" and I did around $200 last time, that's considered a SMALL TRANSACTION?

Or

If you want to do BO credit, which was my preference, they have goofy dollar amounts you have to buy, why can't I just convert my $180 in store credit into $162 in blowout funds? BO made me confirm my Ebay and COMC when I joined these boards, so clearly they are all associated... I don't like the idea of having to do "their" assigned values for gift cards. Then, after all of that is said and done, you get to pay shipping to have your cards sent back or if you buy on BO, then you pay shipping there too....

REALLY like the site, as mentioned, it's a tough pill to swallow when you have to take a huge % of your sales to pay for the next batch, I completely understand it's the cost of doing business and I can always go elsewhere, it just seems that COMC was intended to be a "cheaper" alternative to Ebay and at the same time, greatly reducing the amount of time you need to spend as a seller. Which, in a way, it does, but I am now leaning towards the Bay again because I can list them immediately, there are no restrictions on how "low" I can sell a card and although the fees seem higher on the Bay, I think it's something like 17% for Ebay and Paypal, that's not a whole lot different than the 20% COMC charges.

Wait a second... :-) Ebay IS cheaper than COMC if you look at the whole picture. Never thought I would say that.

On a related note, I will continue to use COMC and I like the site - when I joined, I thought it would be SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than Ebay, now that I look, it's likely more expensive. Love that they handle every aspect of the transaction, but for the fees we all pay, it seems like the lack of exposure and wait time to get the cards listed, then priced, then sold, then paid - COMC doesn't have the same shine it did 2 months ago before I signed up...

Babble over
Not sure where you're getting your numbers from.ebay is 8-10% based on seller's status.paypal is 2.9% + .30.So it's either 10.9 + .30 or 12.9 + .30.

I am curious about the $.50 shipping that people are talking about. I thought it was $.25, and the buyer was paying for it; not the seller.

??????

If you want to sell a card for a dollar, what you are actually doing is:

Selling a card for 75 cents + 25 cents shipping.

So the seller nets 75 cents for the sale of their 1 dollar card.

So If I sell a card for 21 cents, I end up losing 4 cents?

I'm the same, thought it was .25.unless they're mixing up the processing fees with the Shipping fee.

Yeah that's why I asked the question about the 21 cent card earlier. I have no idea how that makes sense

It makes sense if you buy someone's port.

When you list it for $0.21, it will show up as $0.46 to a buyer who hasn't switched their view mode.

Yeah, that one is a new one to me, never seen that before. But I tried, and it wouldn't let me buy it for negative 4 cents. Think it is a glitch.

Oh ok cool. I switched and saw that that manzella was -4 cents, and it didnt let me buy it

Edit: I think im putting the pieces together. I switched to advanced selling mode, now I dont have to pay the .25 cent shipping price on each card as long as I flip them? Or do I?

I sent in a batch of 80 cards with the $20 coupon, so I only spent money on the shipping costs. I hope to raise $70 in my account, so I can take advantage of the $70 special. My first batch went live Friday and I priced everything out that night. I have sold 5 cards so far, not sure if that's good or bad. I priced everything at the lowest at the time. Hopefully some more cards will move. (Link is in my profile for those looking for some cards to flip). I haven't setup my auto-accept yet as I'm not sure what percentage I want it at. Plus I'm still debating the Amazon aspect as there are many pros and cons to it that I have read about. So far no complaints. It's been pretty easy. The waiting aspect is probably the most difficult thing for your first batch. Just don't keep checking to see the % as it will stay low until the very last day.

You do not have to pay now, but you will have to pay when you do ship. There is a $3 flat rate shipping if you pay the $0.25 when you buy each card. I ship very few cards, and mostly relist cards I buy, so this view works best for me.
