Shipment received and they are processing (5% done). I sent in exactly 700 cards for the $70 special but they charged me for 571 and 129. The 129 was $28 i believe. I guess my stuff measure more than 11.25 inches.... still very excited about it and working on my next!!

Can somebody discuss selling a port? Is it worth paying $10 for a week to try to sell it?

Debating if its worth trying

Since I got back to selling I opened my account to all offers (use to allow a max 20%) and I still get quite a few 50% offers. The funny thing is that they are most often for good autographs, hot players, etc. If I don't already know the offerer I just reject the offer with no counter offer. From there I have sold cards when the buyer resubmitted better offers. Some classy buyers will resend the same offer with a virtual FU attached. Those crack me up.

It doesnt bother me but i used to only get them occasionally.

It's better than the other option.

Started a new thread for this question and shoulda just asked it here...

Has anyone submitted a redemption card yet?

I know they mentioned offering a service where they redeem the card for a seller and in the meantime, you can sell it - before it's live.

Just curious if anyone has done it and what their thoughts were - did I describe it properly or can you only sell once it's live?

Thank you!

It is def worth it.. I did a hot list special with the new seller coupon. Basically I listed 40 ginter minis for free to get started. I sell about one a day at 1.50$. Good enough than just sitting around in my house. I also have bought and resold a bit. Making $2 on an auto and such

New questions. I had. A card listed for a $1.50....guy offered .83 which for a 1.50 just buy it....however I offered him 1.15 where he denied.. Would you have accepted his 83 cents or was I right in going back to 1.15?

That is kinda what I am thinking I have literally hundreds of cards that have some value, but just cannot find the time to list them on Ebay in my store.

When submitting cards do they need to be grouped together or all one sport or ?? or can you just mix them up?

How do I get the 20.00 off for the new seller?

You can mix cards up by sport or anything else, COMC sorts through it

I wrote "First Time Submission" in Sharpie on the box and they automatically took $20 off.

Bottom line, save the 1 month of your life, .25 per card and 20% cash out fee and put them on EBAY

I may not always be a ray of sunshine but WTF? If you are going to be the downer here at least explain your reasoning. I personaly love COMC. Is it perfect? Hell no, do a search of my posts and you will see that I have been very critical but it beats Ebay all day every day and twice on Sunday. Do you think Ebay would have a rep come on here and answer our questions? Heck freaking no, they couldn't care less about you or I.

Ill use eBay for higher cards but I am loving COMC for low end. I would never be able to sell a card for a 1.50 or as phillies347 keeps Nickle and diming me

it saves me money in shipping

I think I'd rather burn my cards than have to sell them on ebay.

Just had some of my cards listed rest will list 9/6, as comc seems to be working fine. Some cards on comc that would be listed at and sell for $1 would never sell on ebay. On feebay you have to sell cards for a $1.80 or higher if using the free shipping method, and you have to deal with knucklehead buyers. It's nice to have someone else list your cards and you just have to set the price and not worry about feedback.

I keep hearing that cheap stuff sells on COMC, it does, but why waste your time. My thing is this, if you take 100 inserts worth $7.00 each, you have beckett value of $700. If you mail them into COMC at normal rate of .25, it would cost you $25.00. If you sold every card for $1.00 and cashed out, you would get $100.00 less 20% +$1.00 or $79, less the $25 initial to have them scanned, which leaves you with $55.00. You could do a 100 card lot on EBAY and make $55.00 for a $700 lot. I hate EBAY, but if you look deep into COMC, its not that great of a deal, unless your to lazy to lay out 100 cards and take a picture. Which sucks, because EBAY sux.

Don't forget eBay takes 10% too.

Wasting time is listing all these cards on eBay. And wasting money is selling them all in a lot on eBay.

I throw them in a box and send them to COMC. I don't worry again for a month, at which point it takes me half an hour to set the prices. Then I just visit when I am bored and looking for steals, or when someone makes me an offer. The time commitment is next to nil.

As I have said 1000 times before on here. It is incredibly easy to find a few high value cards selling for ~10% below eBay. You can buy them, get them shipped to you and then sell them on eBay or the forums. I have actually MADE money cashing out this way on the vast majority of my transactions.

I get the 10%, but I am comparing apples to apples, take the same 100 cards and put them on EBAY as a lot or on COMC. I will have the same amount of money as you in 3 days and it took me 5 minutes to take one picture. You have to wait 90 days, 30 days to even list and then forever to sell 100 cheap cards. I loved COMC, until I realized I could take that same box of cards I was sending to COMC and put it out as 1 lot on eBAY or here and get the same amount and not waste time. I had around 300 cards left worth around $3,000 and they had been out to long, so I put a port sale and couldnt get offers higher than $225, so I bit the bullet and had them shipped back to me and sold them on EBAY for $339.
