Yeah, I've noticed your genius presence hasn't addressed the 'Andrelton Simmons is miles better than Jose Iglesias' discussion since people started using fancy numbers.

As I said there. I will use my eyes. You use your numbers.

Not sure what that has to do with this thread but you go girl

Guys like Joel having two THOUSAND episodes of a completely unplanned and staggeringly dull web series is the type of thing that makes the Internet amazing.

Resurrecting an old thread to share today's reject/reprice story - found it humorous initially, but in some seriousness, other sellers may want to use it strategically in pricing their own cards.

- JHS has/had (13) 2013 Bowman #45 A-Rods listed at .10 each.
- I have (3) of the same to price and prefer not to compete at that price point.
- Sent a $1 offer for the (13). Flame me for low-balling, fine, I was simply testing OP/other comments.
- Sure enough, offer rejected and prices now raised on all (13) to .39
- Now I can price my (3) at .25 where I wanted them.

I know, we're talking about commons/low end and, yes, he may very well lower them right back down, but it was a fun exercise nonetheless.

YES that reminds me of a very similar story I had with him!

He had 19 copies of Rafael Furcal's 2012 Walk Off Win at $0.07, which pretty much guaranteed it'd be the first card listed forever since all other cards were $0.08 or more and no one would flip a card with 19 copies. I made an offer of $0.98 on the cards which would've been $1.33 otherwise. He countered (which, fine, no worries) and offers me all 19 for $1.51, because he changed the price to $.08 for all of them. I rejected but I was so happy...now any $0.07 card I posted would make me first and I made a ton of sales over the next few days off people seeing my $0.07 cards and looking at my bigger port.

So...thanks for changing those prices JSS!

Btw you're like my favorite buyer on COMC. I put my stuff at cheap prices and you buy it up quick hahaha...can't hate on that! I also see you have JSS' Furcals now.

This is a fantastic strategy. We should all send him multiple offers on his cards every day so we can waste his time repricing everything.

Has JSS posted any more videos?

I've had fun in the past too but I generally avoid his cards these days. That said, I made offers to 4 people on some Joey Gallos the other week - 3 people accepted, including JSS, and the other raised the price. (This always makes me smile - nobody wanted your card at $3.50 but you turn down my $3 and raise it to 6? That'll work!)

Seriously thinking this may become a strategy to be implemented periodically. I'll refrain from doing it daily, but it's interesting to say the least - and effective.

(2010 Bowman #2 Kevin Youkilis cards x10 previously priced at .11 each)

User 'joelshitshow' did not accept the $0.95 offer from your COMC.com account.
The $0.95 of pending funds has been added back to your available store credit.

Rejected, repriced at .28 - now can sneak mine in at .25

Yeah, it's childish - but it's entertaining.

Is there something I am missing or is this card slightly overpriced?

1990 Score #238 - Dave Duerson - COMC

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

Nah, Duerson is way more popular than Kay. DD is a steal at $50.
1990 Score #544 - Clarence Kay - COMC

Ditto James Hasty.
1990 Score #288 - James Hasty - COMC

1990 Score Football Cards - COMC

Honestly, I'm not sure if he's hoping for fat fingers or what. It looks like any 1990 Score FB base that he has the only copies of is at $50.

I just watched his "show" for the first time. He opened a pack of '99 Fleer Brilliants while driving to the gym. Not sure that is very smart.

You could probably buy a case of 1990 Score for the price of a couple of his cards

It's just good strategy for us if he's gonna price that way.

I would rather wrestle an alligator then to sit down and bust an entire case of 1990 Score.

At least wrestling the alligator would be interesting.

Can we discuss the logic behind his pricing possibly?

How does it make any sense?

There is no list of highest total ask to be at the top of, no way to make a reasonable offer on a card that is listed at $49.74 that is worth $2 because COMC won't allow an offer below $24.87 on that card. Doesn't appear to be inflated for a sale or a port sale...

I don't know the guy, but it seems... Seems dumb

Most likely "insurance" purposes. The single is not going to sell, might as well jack up the value of the port just in case something happens.

The guy is probably no dummy. if you see all his cards jacked up at anytime, something is going down. "conspiracy" theories, the new order. lol.

The guys even got a fricking website, joelshitshow.com. Looks like he has a ton of time on his hands, seems to be a blogger of stupid stuff/things no one probably cares much about.

Just doing it to get attention would be my guess. And it's working! You know he's lurking here.

I only have 1,995 episodes of his web show to catch up on...

I gotta ask, when he prices all his new base cards @ $50 each (you know 1000000x actual selling price), doesn't he have to pay extra fee's for that? Didn't they say in one of the blogs any new cards listed over $50 would have an additional listing fee?
What's the end game or the point? I wasn't too keen to the reply I got from Moe on my inquiry, but I'll leave it as it is.
