Default Ebay Stores - When did they make the minimum price $1.00???

Anybody know when they changed this? Is this a new change? Don't remember seeing this. It stinks because even though you allow people to make best offers, they usually don't. So a card that I would be willing to sell for $.25 will never sell because I have to list for $1.00.

I think this change took place when the fees changed in Feb.

I am going to put this in my auction -

PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO MAKE ME AN OFFER ON THIS CARD. EBAY REQUIRES THAT I LIST WITH A MINIMUM OF $1.00. I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO CONSIDER OFFERS LESS THAN THAT.

Ebay may be pissed but I don't care. If I am paying $15.95 a month for a store I should be able to list a card for whatever I want to list it at. Just like Wal-mart or Target having a Clearance section.

Hi,

Before you get too excited about using the best offer option, take a read through this on the eBay forums.

eBay Forums: NEW E-BAY PRICING? MINIMUM $1 STORE ...

Apparently, the best offer won't work for under $1 either.

The drawback to that method is ebay will still charge final value fees besed on a $1 sale, even if you accepted the under the table offer of $.25. It might just be a few cents but a few cents out of $.25 can add up over large volumes of cards.

Actually, I read the message boards and it looks like they won't even accept offers under $1.00. Well I think Ebay is losing my $192 a year for a store. The store was the best place to get rid of this stuff as add ons to other items to reduce shipping. I think it is ridiculous that I can't sell something at the price that I want to. You know why they do this? Because of the people that sell things for $.01 and charge $4.00 for shipping. They don't make anything off the $.01.

Even on Turbo Lister you have to start Auctions at $1.00 now, the first day of the new changes i was getting errors because i was doing Buy It Now at .99 cents wouldn't upload because the minimum was now $1.00

Plain and simple!!!

GREED is going to cost Ebay in the long run. After the changes I have not listed anything and have not bought anything... Strictly Naxcom for me from now on. I may not sell as much but then again its a hobby and something to do to pass the time as I am disabled now.

Do any of you guys sell on Beckett's marketplace? Where else can you unload lower priced items? I might have to consider getting a table at my local card show

if im going to list 20-40 cards in the next couple days, would it be worth it to just go the store route and get a plan.
