I'm new to the ETopps game. I just started buying this year in fact. If I may ask a question...The Etopps I have bought this year are all numbered less than 1000. Some are around 699 or less. In fact, I haven't seen any numbered higher than 1000. Is this something new with ETopps? I'm asking because I see most of your cards you're wanting to get rid of are numbered well over 1000.

Thanks for your time in responding no matter who it is.

Matt,
They used to produce a bunch and it would depend on how many requests they would get to as how many they would make. Back in 2001 there were a couple guys that only had a little over 1000 cards made compared to the 3000-4000 for most and those cards were highly sought after adn went for big bucks. They have had to reduce the number of each player to create more demand because I think they were on the way out as a company.
All the cards listed that I ahve only sell in the $1-8 range if that tells you anything.

Yes in 2002 etopps went big after the 2001 prices were rising like crazy and people were buying a lot of cards. Then 2003 came and etopps crashed. 2004 the PRs went up again, and then it crashed again in 05. Now etopps has learned and have keep most of them under 1,000.

I see. Thanks guys. I had no idea that ETopps had been around that long. They must have a lot of cards in storage.

Yea they started in 2000. I am sure they have a lot of cards in storage, that is why they just had a shipping deal, I got 50 cards in hand.

Are they nice cards when you get them in hand? Would they grade Gem Mint do you think?

If it is like it use to be they have a bad habit of sending off centered cards. Every in hand Zimmerman Rc I have seen is O/C.

Yes they are very nice and are in mint+ condition. In the past they had problems with centering and other issues, but they have taken care of them now. However grading them is a total waste of money.

He is with the Cubs.
I am asking $75 delivered for the lot which is only because they weigh a lot and shipping will be more than usual.

I recommend a flat rate box if the person lives far away.

I have more than 600 etopps cards on etopps.com and about 40 in hand. The more people that take them in hand, the better for people like me, because you cannot send them back.

I made a ton of money selling the 2001 cards when they ran an ad campaign in spring 2002. If you look at the historical graphs, that's why they spiked then. Their ads ran everywhere the first week of the baseball season. In terms of return on investment, that is the best I have ever done.

The highest print run might be the 2001 Ichiro or Pujols. I believe they are in the low five digits regarding the press run. The lowest baseball one I think is Edgardo Alfonzo. Used to be worth $200-$300. I think Elvis Grbac is the lowest print run football, but maybe it's Jamal Lewis? I can't recall. But I think the Lewis was about $1,000 for a while. The graphs shall tell all!

I think long term the hockey ones will do relatively well because they aren't making any more of them.

They are nice cards, but they take up a lot of space. I would only grade a 2001 Pujols, and even that ship might have sailed.

Oh, and none of these cards are considered RCs.
