Default COMC Challenge

Has anyone else gotten a notification about the "COMC Challenge"? On some of the questions it doesn't register when I hit enter. Is the system just overloaded?

What operating system and browser are you using? I'm on Mac OSX and am encountering the same issue as I play on Safari and Chrome.

We're looking into it and will hopefully have a fix very soon. Thanks for playing

I recently just started. I have nothing to do today, so guess what I'll be doing.

I'm using Chrome on Windows 8. It's mostly running smooth, but 3 or 4 out of 50 will give me that issue.

Ghumbs - Could you or another COMC rep explain a bit about how this helps with your categorizing? I love the idea of helping, I'm just confused about how entering data that already has a right or wrong answer is beneficial. Either way, I'm having a good time with it!

Good question! Not all of the cards have known answers. A selection of them do to keep you honest

Ahhhh! Okay! When there are two separate names on the front and back...

For example:

Front: Tom Doe

Back: Thomas John Doe

Should we enter "todo" or "thdo"?

Also, how do some people have multiples of 75 points? I thought you could only earn in bunches of 100s? are there other ways to get points?

If you get one wrong, you only get 25 points.

I've done it three times so far and its frustrating haha

On one of mine I got 25 points and knew I had a typo on the last entry but couldn't undo it. Maybe you get 25 if you miss a known question?

"todo" is what we're generally looking for HOWEVER if you happen to enter "thdo" and, at the end, it said you missed it, you should click the button that has us give it a second look.

From there, I'd award you the points you missed and likely remove that card from the "known" pile players are scored on. I'll be trying to remove confusing cards from that pile as we go.

In fairness, I got a bit of a head start during development. But DeepDiscounts...holy cow! I can't keep up!

Really liking this "challenge"

BTW Ghumbs, sign me up with helping you guys if necessary. Best with baseball cards. Same username as I have on here on COMC.

You should see me on the leaderboard soon anyway

It's fun, and every now and then I get one that makes me laugh. Like Andy Allenson. (I'm easily amused)

If you've been invited, you should see a notification on your dashboard page.

The random freeze issue is kicking my butt. Any browser recommendations or anything else I can do to speed it up?

It seems to have something to do with how long you've had the account, how much you've sold, or something like that.

I never got an email invite, but I clicked on COMC IQ TEST and it sent me (and allowed me) to do it. Sadly it's not compatible with my work computer and tried it on my phone but I "fat finger" it at got 0 Points... I'll try again after I get home.

Also, I now have the you're invited on my dashboard though I really dont remember it being there prior to clicking on COMC IQ TEST.

The bug in the OP should be fixed. Please let me know of you continue to encounter issues.
