Default Question Regarding Low Feedback Ebay Sellers

There is a card that I'm after which is being sold by someone with 2 feedback both for purchasing items from > 6 months ago. He doesn't offer refunds but I'm pretty sure ebay does everything they can to make buying safe. Should I just move on from the listing or is the ebay protection enough that I can't really get burned?

You'll be perfectly fine as a buyer when it comes to being covered. You may want to ask how the person ships before buying though. Some newer guys don't really know how to ship cards to make sure they arrive safely.

There is no such thing as "doesn't offer refunds", they can have that info on their listing but in the end if you want a refund you will get it. Everyone has to start selling somewhere and even the power sellers were at 2 feedbacks at some point.

It's common for newbie sellers to put the most valuable item they've ever owned into their first listing.

If you're concerned that the item might not actually exist, you could always request a pic of the back of the card or a larger scan. If they are willing and able to do this, they're probably an honest broker and you're probably safe dealing with them.

At best, "no refunds" means "I really don't want to give you your money back if you change your mind about buying this after you've received it", and in reality it doesn't even mean that.

The seller still has the obligation to get the item to you, be able to prove they got the item to you using some online method, and for the item to be in the condition described. If not, eBay / Paypal / your credit card (if you use one to fund the Paypal payment) will probably back you up.

Ebay has their finger on the trigger and pointed at sellers.. Don't worry, you will be fine as the buyer.
