Default Next show in Louisville: Saturday, September 18th

Same place as the last one:

Seneca High School Gym
3510 Goldsmith Lane
Louisville, KY 40220

Sponsored by East End Sports Sards; supposedly this show is going to be bigger than the last one (which still had 40 or so tables).

As we get closer I'll post some pics of what I'll have there. The hours will be 9AM-6PM (Saturday, September 18th)

It was great to meet some of you guys last time- who's planning on setting up/going?

For the time being I can only commit to getting to the post office on Saturdays, so it may take me longer to ship.

I mostly focused on baseball, but there was a good amount of basketball and football there. There were a few guys selling wax, and it was also the weekend of the National, so the show sponsor expects some of the bigger local dealers who weren't there last month to be back at this one.

I will be setting up with my brother as last time. His cards are the main course and mine are the tooth picks. I did much better than I had originally thought last time. I can't wait.

I'll post some pics here shortly. My camera ran out of batteries after a few photos though. Upsbroker06 (Brian), Jon Dailey, and aja3217 (Drew) were there, and Nick Jacoby stopped by, too.

The show itself was in a little smaller room than last month (cafeteria vs. gym), but there were about the same number of dealers (30ish). It was packed from about 10AM-Noon, then was a steady but slow stream the rest of the afternoon.

I didn't sell as much as I did at last month's show, and it was surprising to me that some of the stuff that was big last month didn't move at all today. I couldn't keep Grandal and Francisco rookies on my table last month- today no one asked about them at all. Go figure.

All in all, definitely a fun show. There's another show coming up in Louisville in October, sponsored by Sandlot Sports Cards, but it's on a Sunday. Jon has a show in Richmond, KY in November and East End is planning another one in Louisville before the holidays.

Yeah, I think they said there was 56 tables there today.

Tony Crews is also doing a show next month in Finchville as well he was telling me about.

We had fun today and picked up some nice stuff. Nice seeing you again Paul and meeting you Brian...
