Default Is this normal?

I recently won an auction for a card that sold for .99 and the shipping that was stated on the page was for $2.99 for USPS First Class. When the invoice was sent to me, shipping is now $4.99 for First Class.

I sent him a message about it and I'm still waiting for a response. Does that happen a lot to you guys? I know it's only a $2 difference, but I bid and won on an item agreeing to those terms.

Here's the listing:
04-05 Topps Pristine R REFRACTOR Trevor Ariza RC rare

Are you international? That's the only legit reason I can think of for why he would raise the shipping price.

EDIT - Nevermind, I see you're not international.

I haven't seen anything like that before. Probably just ticked his card only sold for .99 and he's not profiting enough already (sarcasm) at $2.99 shipping.

Look at his DRS and Feedback. Looks like he has some issues. I probably would have stayed away from this one - even for $.99.

You can pay trough the listing pay now button for the quoted price in the auction. He just sounds like a D Bag who wasnt happy with the final price, so he's trying to stick you with additional shipping charges.

You must be paying off an invoice he created because the amount of shipping listed in the auction is $2.99 and the shipping amount listed on the auction page has always been the amount of shipping applied to the sale when I pay through Paypal.
