Default Short Print 2008 Playoff Contenders

The short printed auto's are ........ Ok, let me say this is strickly my opinion and I'll give my reasons why I believe this.

Brian Witherspoon
Caleb Hanie
Charles Godfrey
Chaz Schilens
Chris Horton
Derek Fine
Zackery Bowman
Dwight Lowery
Jalen Parmele
Jerome Felton
Kendall Langford
Kregg Lumpkin
Marcus Henry
Matthew Slater
Mike Cox
Mike Tolbert
Pierre Garcon
Quintin Demps
Sam Baker
Steve Johnson
Tavares Gooden
Terrence Wheatley
Tom Santi
Tom Zbikowski
Tyvon Branch
Xavier Omon

The reason I believe this are your 2008 Short prints are .. because they are cards numbered 200 thru 225, they are also the only Rookies that are not in alhabetical order the other Rookies are numbered 101 thru 199 And listed in order by their name from 101 Adrian Arrington to 199 Xavier Adibi

While this is a valid assumption, I don't think this is going to be the list. Just have a gut feeling that we might see some bigger names on the list than those.

Yeah, every year the players like Matt Ryan will be an SP

Not necessarily saying that the great players are going to be the SPs. But I'm sure the list will include a player slightly better than Tom Zibkowski (who I think is the best of what is listed).

(Can't tell if you are being sarcastic there guru)

I was dead serious. I would be willing to bet that Ryan is an SP... There may have been a little hint of sarcasim there

Not quite so sure as to the Matt Ryan being SP. Saw 2 pulled from the case my box came from. No one pulled a Darren Mcfadden, Matt Forte, Eddie Royal, DeSean Jackson, or Rashard Mendenhall. We used the checklist to mark off what cards were coming out, there were 52 autos 2 were numbered above 200 They were Chaz Schilens and Jalen Parmele. Also for those thinking of busting a case. There were 5 doubles hit from a case.

The fact that they aren't alphabetically with the rest probably just means they were relatively late additions to the checklist, not that they are necessarily SPs.

I pulled those guys listed above in my 6 box case yesterday. They may be SP's but I doubt they are super short prints.

For anyone interested, they are on Ebay ending tomorrow.

Donruss would not make it that simple. The SP list is what keeps this product drying up... One or two of those guys possibly, however I have a gut feeling this product will be alot more short printed than inintially thought.. Plus if anyone knows me, they know Im normally spot on with donruss info..

I think you are way off. 101 Adrian Arrington through 199 Xavier, are alphabetical order by first name. So are the ones you listed 200-225 (minus Zachery) I am thinking this was just an additional 26 Autos that Donruss added to the product after the original list was made. They may have a shorter print run, like average of 300-400, but the main SP's of 50 or 120, should be random in the main set.

Typically isnt there only 10 short print autos? It will be interesting once the product releases due to most of this years rookies have signed a good amount of product (as compared to previous years).

in 2006 there were 20-30 SP's.......... Reggie Bush was on the list with a very low print run of 563 or somrthing like that.

I'm going to throw out a guess that Limas Sweed is a sp There is 1 on ebay with a bin of $50. Or do you guys think it is still too soon to make tht assumption?

I would say wait another week or two. Then you have more of an idea of who is SP. My local shop hasnt recieved any Contenders yet, so I am sure that others havent either.

Default Torain is one...I am sure

Checklist can be found at Donruss Trading Cards and click on checklists.

As fare as the short prints go. I guarantee that Ryan Torain is a super short print. I have only seen one on ebay and it got pulled early.
