Talking I will get some crap for this but.....

Okay I had a weakness, Since my Leaf Limited was a hold out release until the 30th I went to the local target to do a christmas run and the card Aisle called my name like in field of dreams. I picked up 3 boxes of 2007 Leaf Rookies & Stars Longevity. 2 mem per box caught my eye.
this is what I pulled.
Jamarcus Russell Dressed for Success blk swatch #85/100
Brian Leonard Freshman Orientation # 16/25
Trent Edwards RC auto Jumbo w/stanford logo #7/10
Marvin Harrison Red Jersey # 45/250
Fred Taylor Jersy Red #210/250
Brandon Jacobs Blue Jersey 85/100

It happens to the best of us. I am always offering to go to Walmart to do the shopping just so I can throw in a couple blaster boxes.

Just depends on what product you're after. I got nothing more than regular inserts from score, topps, and topps total. Bought one box of bowman and one of absolute memorabilia, no major/case hits, but still nice cards imo. In the bowman got a Brady Quinn draft night jersey, and the absolute memorabilia a Brian Leonard Marks of Fame Jersey.

Actually it totally depends on the product, I have pulled quite a few. Usually Jersey's, but I have got a couple $50 auto's out of retail. The sad part is if I would have taken the grand total of all the money I have wasted on retail and bought hobby/hta boxes, I would have 200 GU/Auto's vs. the 20. Since I do not have a card store with-in 196 miles from my home, it's Walmart or Target if I need a quick fix to get me to my next shipment.

I was thinking about heading to target tonight for a quick fix myself. The Target stores seem to have more selection than the Walmart stores around here. Is that the same case for you guys?

Target definitely has a better selection. Not to mention, at least for my walmart, that what they do have has been thrown around and leads me to believe there are many damaged cards. I don't know if you have a shopko near you but I also find a nice selection there, even have trilogy packs ($30), haven't been bold enough to get any though.

Target is better for sure. If you are going to waste your money on retail make sure you atleast buy the blasters. The cards corners won't be damaged and they can't be searched like the single packs. You will also get better collation and I have better luck getting GU/Auto's from them. Still I would recommend not getting hooked on retail as a way to get your fix. I can't tell you the thousands I have thrown away on bad odd's.

I saw a young guy being escorted to the holding room by store security at Target today for busting open all of the Longevity boxes and attempting to steal the cards out of them. My cashier told me it happens all the time, and they've been watching this guy for a while. As for blaster boxes, and retail packs there are hits. I got one of the Maurice Richard 500 Goal Club Autograph Stick cards #/25 from Meijer, an UD Gretzky Auto Jersey from Target, and just this year an Adrian Peterson autograph out of a Topps Chrome blaster. Not too bad though it is mainly junk.

Funny enough I pulled a really nice David Ortiz all star patch GU out of a blaster of Topps 3 today while passing time on my lunch. I really need to just go to resturants vs. buying a blaster and a red bull for my lunch break.

A few years ago I bought a blaster box from Target. When I opened it up and started ripping, every pack had already been opened and all the Rookie/insert cards were gone. The blaster was sealed when I bought it. very odd.
I took back to Target and they refunded my $$$. I think WalMart would do the same but I commend Target for their willingness to understand and willingness to believe me.
