2 - 2012 Bowman Rack Packs - RGIII Variation SP!

Just got back from Kmart with my son. The card section had not been restocked since last week except for a few blaster and about about 10 rack packs (3 packs plus 3 purple parallel cards per rack) of 2012 Bowman. Decided to pick up 2 rack packs instead of a blaster. I was glad to see an RGIII RC in the last pack. Just checked Ebay to see what they were going for since the product is fresh and noticed my photo was different from all the current and completed listings! Variation SP's fall 1:39 packs. Luckily I hit the 2nd best player to hit.

ummm Topps is an officially licensed product. The rookies are that way because I would believe this stuff was set to go before the draft and they just added the team names to the cards. They wouldn't have had time to get photos of the players in from the Premiere in time for release


They look bad, but that's what you get if you want the product out this quickly

Looks like the chrome was on-card autos and sticker autos for the rest. Panini was able to photoshop players into team unis while the draft was occurring. I think this was just a very very lazy product on Topps' part.

How oblivious am I? Until I saw the Combine card, I didn't realize that Bowman Signatures was just Rising Rookies being rebranded by Topps! They just switched around the configuration and made it uglier as well. If there are no logos, they should just stick to head shots. Full body shots of player in training shirts just looks stupid. Way to cheapen the Bowman name Topps.
