Ya I'm about $800 behind hahaha but I had a blast hoping for the huge hits that are in those boxes

800 behind ? What am I missing here? Seems like that collection of wax shouldn't cost much more than $800 altogether let alone 800 less than your investment.. I'm sure I am missing something here.

No this shops prices are a little high so I had to pay to play. I think I spent like 1300

Dang lol, must be nice to have that available for cards . If I got kicked in the junk for a big purchase my LCS would give me a dollar off a pack of press pass that they already searched. Glad to see you sneak a Brady in before you "called it a day". Speaking of the Brady, do you have any interest in trading it?

Ya there pretty cool people and have tons of product. I was pretty stoked on them giving me a freebie pack. And to pull one I the best hits out of the product. Im still hurting on the amount I spent on the other stuff but sh*t happens

wow!! what sweet redemption!! it seems its always those last packs in the box that noone wanted or the last pack that you bit your tounge and were going to keep those last few dollars in your pocket cause youve had bad luck all day or thought you plucked out the good stuff and then low and behold..... theres still something left!!

I had the same reaction as most of you. how can he say he spent way to much he good some great star players and not only that a 5/5 brady to boot. i spent $600 at my local lcs and they said have a nice day. I was even shorted 2 hits from a box. I think you did pretty good. I mean yeah u could have done better but those years of boxes are hit or miss especially trying to hit some of the big boys in contenders I know in 04 most of them were sp's. I think 05 was the same way. better luck next time I guess.

If he spent 1300 dollars those 4 cards wont even get him 1/3 of his money back. Those 4 cards will bring 400 if hes lucky.

Ya I hope to get like 500 back on it. The brady probably 250 at best on a good day. Hopefully 150 and the ware and the Cooley hopefully 25 each.
I had a ton of fun breaking the product and I knew the risk and reward of the contenders.

Sweet Dalton! If you hang onto that one and sell/trade during season that could help with the loss. I like your attitude though. Busting boxes isn't a money making business. Every box isn't going to yield a crazy rookie or vet auto that will make you money. $1300 is a lot, how is that any different from the people busting multiple boxes and cases of premium stuff like Five Star and NT?

Ya if i hit at least one killer hit out of every box I would have made a few thousand but didn't hit much and lost a grand but that's how it goes most if the time. I appreciate the comments guys

Very nice Brady and Dalton for sure. It's always a huge gamble busting older boxes. The Ware auto is also a nice hit. Brady autos are just about as good as it gets.

The important thing is that you had fun opening the boxes. $1300 is a lot of money and you could second-guess, but without taking the chance you'd never know what could have been. I totally understand the impulse.

That Brady is /5; I'd think you could easily pull $200-$250 on an average day. If you keep it the card will hold value well, unless he gets caught doing something extraordinarily stupid like disemboweling kittens or knocking old ladies over at the Safeway.
