1 Box of Momentum football with scans

Same old panini crap! $50 of value out of a $200 box. Here is the hits minus a Brock Osweiler jsy auto I sold back to the LCS. All will be going on ebay unless someone wants to pay going rate for them before I list. Will trade for Barry sanders as well.

What more could I want? lol Maybe a card worth more than $20 out of a $200 box?? It wouldnt be so bad if it was just some boxes but it is literally all panini boxes! Unless you hit a luck or griffin auto you are not getting your money back. That pretty much goes for all their products. I have not made money on a box of panini products ever! The closest I ever came was a $400 tom brady auto pulled from a box of NT that I believe cost me just over that.

The biggest problem IMO is that they don't know how to make a product with some value. If they just dropped a few of these worthless hits from this product and priced it closer to $100 a box where it should be then it wouldnt be a terrible buy.

They're not profit boxes, there's zero guarantee that you'll get a damn thing in your boxes and underselling yourself is your own fault. I would hold any Osweiler cards you get for a couple years, not immediately try and flip them. QB autos are like stocks, sell high.

I realize that you don't buy boxes to make a profit but every once in a while you should come out ahead. I do it with upper deck products all the time. I don't do this to make money believe me I do it because I love football and collecting cards. I also like the gamble of busting boxes and cases but it starts to loose its appeal when every product you bust is so worthless. I busted boxes of NT this year as well with maybe a $100 in value lol what a joke.

I don't care what anyone else says I hate panini's products I have busted dozens of cases in the last couple years and been in 100's of breaks and have been disappointed every time. I generally don't like the look of most panini products and the value is never good. Topps and UD both put out products with good value and FAR better design consistently. Not every product is great but at least they have some nice stuff ie exquisite, spa, spx, topps jumbo, topps chrome, as well as many older products that arent around anymore like all american. Heck look at UD retro basketball panini could never dream of putting out a product with that value and break appeal. Of coarse this is MY opinion and many panini supporters would disagree. I am glad someone likes this panini crap or I would never even be able to trade or sell it lol.

Topps this year has been so horrible I think we need a new word to describe how bad it has been, but for now I'll just stick with the good ole term of CRAPTASTIC

topps used to be better, the market is just so rip & flip oriented that it's driving everything into the dirt.........I mean even team collectors aren't going to buy 1000-2000 of a scrub rookie, there is literally no market for the cards being made in that volume........ maybe 100-250 copies of those rookies etc is all that needs to ever be made. it's just no market for them. they are completely useless

I agree topps has not been great this year but they still have some good stuff coming. I think strata will be a decent product and chrome is always good. The finest has not been great this year but has been good in the past. I got more value out of my regular old Topps jumbo boxes then just about any panini product this year. Like I said they all put out some crap but I think panini puts out ALL crap.

I'm guessing you did the jumbo when it first released then, because now it's not worth crap like all other Topps products this year unless you hit a big card which is rare.

Inception with non #'d patch autos, Finest with most hits /13xx, Platinum with barely any color or #'d on card autos and patch/autos /1xxx have all been such big busts I can't see how anyone can get excited over anything else Topps is planning this year.

Strata looks really cool, but after their epic fails so far this year, I'm rather convinced it will be impossible to pull anyone with any kinda value.

Looks good to me. Triple jersey of 3 top rookies should do good. Foles should also do well and the vet relics have sold nicely for me. There are very nice hits in momentum but you need to bust more than one box.

The only problem I would have had with that box is getting 2 Zach Brown autos. I know the only way to rip and flip is by the case, but personally, I can't afford to.

I buy by the box, keep the ones I want, and slowly sell on eBay. When I've earned enough, I'll buy another box. Yeah, I'm going to get killed more often than not, profit-wise, but I enjoy opening a box and savoring each pack as I open it.

I understand a lot of people here on these forums do this as either a primary or secondary income stream, and in those cases I feel bad for them for a lot of the breaks listed on here.

I guess the only thing that can be said is Good Luck with the next one!

That was my exact thought when I pulled that card lol.

The problem with that is it NEVER happens. Have you ever seen 2 andrew luck or RG3 autos pulled from one box?? If you say yes you are lying because it doesnt happen. They fill these products with scrub hits to try and make us think it is worth $200. I would rather they leave out 4-5 scrub hits and put it at a decent price point where it should be like $100-$120 range.

I've never purchased any football product, ever. I saw these Momentum cards at my lcs though today, and figured I'd see if they were any fun. Especially when they were asking $200 for this box.

After reading 4 threads, apparently they are not fun. My question, and I am being sincere, is that if you knew this Panini is not a good product, why did you shell out $200 for it? Spur of the moment purchase? If so, I understand that, but $200 isn't a $20 blaster pack, or whatever they call those.
