2012 Topps Chrome, beat the odds?
Firstly, I haven't opened a football box for many years now, in fact the last hobby box I opened was probably a 2001 Upper Deck. However I bought into some of the hype of 12 TC and bought a box on pre-order.
I don't regret spending the $100 on this at all - how many times can you say that about a Panini box....
The top 3 players I wanted something of were Luck, Richardson and Martin.
I didn't get a single Luck in the box
I got a Martin regular RC
And got a Richardson refractor RC
The 1984 versions were all bums.
QB RC reprint - Bob Griese.
The 1957 versions were bums too.
The 1965 versions were Justin Blackmon and Robert Griffin
Red Zone RC (nice cards) - Justin Blackmon
Then the refractors 1:3 -
As well as the aforementioned Richardson RC, the notables were a T.Y Hilton RC, Revis, Suh and Brady.
What I assume is a Prism refractor (1:24) - Kelechi Osemele RC (149/216)
Pink refractor (1:31) - Michael Brokers RC (264/399)
Black refractor (1:42) - Jake Locker (134/299)
Blue refractor (1:63) - Earl Thomas (168/199) - you can barely tell it's a refractor though
Rookie auto (1:37) - Ryan Broyles
And what seems to be the hit of the box -
1957 refractor parallel (1:935) - LaMichael James (33/75)
How'd I do?
Before anyone asks for certain cards, it costs around $16-18 for me to ship a card to the US.....
All in all, a very fun break - I would do it again
