2012 Topps Strata Odds

I did some calculations based on the sell sheets and figured Topps is making about 2,146 Hobby cases based on figuring the hobby exclusive cards and case hits, so fairly limited and most of the good parallels are hobby exclusive!
For the parallels that are in both hobby and retail I just calculated that half were in each in order to figure to pack odds. Based on my numbers it looks like around half of the 36 hits in the case will be a parallel and you will get about 2 base card parallels per box.
With this many parallels it makes it better for the top names to be pulled, because they will have similar print runs to the scrubs. This stuff looks to be awesome and can’t wait to open my case! Love all the patch cards and other great hits as well.

This is assuming that the sell sheets stats are correct, but it's the best I could do before the product is out!

I wouldnt trust Sell Sheets. Topps just royally messed up Bowman Draft's sell sheet. Best to just wait at this point, going off the sell sheet is assuming there is the same exact amount of every player and every parallel.

You were the one that won that instead of me! Ha ha just kidding, congrats. All I got was a 2007 SP Authentic box that is worth like $73. Unless there is a cut auto, I lost out. It was worth the risk though.

True, what was with Topps not numbering the Refractor autos. One thing not to do the base refractors, but not the autos? What else was wrong with the sell sheet for Draft?

This is the way I see it - in 1 case of Strata you should get at the very least 7 cards numbered to 75 or less.

3 Autographed PATCH Rookie parallels #'d to 75 or less
3 Rookie PATCH parallels #'d to 75 or less
1 Strata Signature Relic Rookie #'d to 35 or less

That sounds like some pretty good value already right there!

Hmmm. Even at $75 a box this is starting to look like a better and better buy. I locked in my first case around $799 but I may be in for more even at the higher price.

My guess is that it was going to come out the same time Topps Chrome came out and they didnt want to compete sells with the two products.

I asked Topps on Twitter when it got pushed back to 12/21. They responded by saying they were waiting for autos to go live to minimize redemptions.
