Topps Chrome Rack Pack and Topps Strata Blaster Box (Auto!)
I bought several football retail products from Walmart and non-sport hobby and retail products online from Black Friday until Christmas and opened it all on Christmas. For football specifically, I had one pack of Score, one pack of Topps, a rack pack of Topps Chrome, and a blaster box of Topps Strata. I used to buy mostly hobby packs until this year when my local hobby store stopped selling sports products.
Here are the highlights (including pictures of the two best cards):
Matt Hasselbeck (glossy)
Fred Jackson Complete Players Insert
Mohamed Sanu RC
Ryan Fitzpatrick/Steve Johnson Paramount Pairs Insert (I got this one in my only previous pack of 2012 Topps too.)
Osi Umenyiora Tall Boy
George Iloka RC
Ronnie Hillman RC
Shea McClellin RC
I almost bought another pack when I got my Topps Strata blaster box, but it had been previously opened and resealed on the back. There was only one other pack, and that one had a big rip on the bottom. Some people...
Topps Chrome Rack Pack
Kirk Cousins 435/499
Topps Strata Blaster Box
and in the last pack...
Cyrus Gray Auto
Not the greatest, but it's nice to get an auto, and it's the only auto I've pulled from retail. I've pulled a bunch from hobby.
I pulled almost every rookie QB you can name not named Luck or RGIII. I got Tannehill, Cousins, Wilson, Weeden, Foles, and Osweiler.
As a Vikings fan, it was nice to pull Jarius Wright.
In one pack of Topps Strata, the first names of the first three cards were Steve, Steven, and Stevan. Very weird.
It wasn't as exciting as a hobby break, but it was still a lot of fun. Opening a little bit of multiple products keeps things fresh. I don't spend as much on football cards as I used to.
Nothing is FS or FT. Everything goes to my PC.
