1 Box Platinum, makes me wonder why I buy Topps...

R.Broyles patch auto(same one I pulled from a retail pack) #/1000something
R.Kalil auto
M.Egnew auto(same one I pulled from a retail pack)
M.Mcnutt rc /75 ref.

no Griffins,Lucks,Wilson's, in fact got 3 duplicate regular rc's from one box, how does that happen with 1 rc per pack that you get 3 Lamar Miller regular cards in one box. Can somebody explain why you would get 2 of the same exact auto's from a hobby box that you got from a retail rack box???

sorry man i feel your pain! But topps thought it be nice to make their junk super hard to get this year! I think someone did the math on the big guys and its less than 10 percent that you will pull anyone decent! Im talking even richardson, martin, weeden, blackmon! Not just the top 3 QBs.

Bad box man, sorry. Would go back and buy more if I was you... But what I don't understand is why do people think you are guaranteed one of the 2 best Rookies in the league in every box? Isn't this hobby all about the hit or miss aspect?

IMO, Topps is crushing Panini this year.

Topps doesnt separate retail from hobby, the odds are just longer for retail. You just got a bad box

I can't really complain but it was a stinker, its not like I have bought a ton of platinum, to be getting duplicate auto's like that is what stinks. Reason I say I can't complain that much is I bought a hobby box of it last week and hit a Doug Martin patch/auto #/10 which is an extremely sick hit. But back to complaining, is it just my platinum cards they have like dust or dirt on a lot of the rookies, fine dust or something, How does that happen???

Working on getting a scanner hooked up, should be operational by next weekend, I have another one(Broyles) also a 4 color sick patch, rather trade but open to parting with one, u can pm me.

That dust actually keeps them from sticking together in packing. It shouldn't damage the surface

This was an average box of Platinum, Platinum was awful this year. The fact that the hobby and retail products are identical hurt the product pretty severely. This forces them to water it down to a point that it isn't worth busting. Kind of like 2010 Chrome baseball, oh yeah, Stephen Strasburg is in the product, will you pull one? Probably not.

King at what? Making it impossible to pull anything that isn't numbered/1368?

Topps football products have been very hit or miss this year. When you hit (which is pretty rare) it's a big hit. When you miss (which is highly likely) you take a chainsaw up the ass.

My buddy opened up a box of Topps Platinum and one of his auto's was a guy that never made it into the NFL, Hell he didn't even get drafted.

We google searched to guy, he now plays in the Canadian football league. What kind of football product has hits of people not even in the NFL.
