Perception is reality on a forum where what you write is all we know about someone as a person. You made what could be considered a condescending comment to that guy about how it was a race to buy your stuff. Basically it comes across as you telling the guy your lowball offer isn't good enough my stuff is hot when he made a decent offer. Now let me stress I'm not saying that's what you intended to say at all, it may have been a harmless comment. But there's no way to know that.

So we think you were being a jerk and take pleasure in that fact you apparently got greedy and now your prices are actually well above going rates as you missed the peak of the hype.

Again, not saying any of the above is true or even half-true, but that is what the perception can be to some people. Gotta be careful how you word things is all.

I don't think me advertising that my product was hot and it was a race to win it is in any way possibly condescending. If you're right though don't you think my perception would be wow these guys who don't know me are rooting for my thread to fail, what is wrong with their lives that they would take the time to do that? Even though there might be nothing wrong with it...

I know when to walk away from a debate there is no point in arguing, the fact that you made another condescending comment while saying you don't see how your first comment was condescending tells me everything I need to know.
