Exclamation Beware of UD!

hey guys just thought Id give you an update as to what has gone down since I told you guys a few months ago...I dont feel like typing it again, but here is my email to UD Customer Service that gives the whole detailed story

Back in Christmas of 07, I pulled a 2007 UD Ultimate Collection Reggie Bush, Dwayne Jarrett and Steve Smith Authentic Triple Autograph Redemption card, numbered to only 5 copies....after seeing 2 on eBay, I figured mine would be in...and I guess it wasn't, so I applied for a replacement...saying its easily a $200 card I contacted Barry Sicherman and he said he would let them know and they send me something out shortly...well I ended up receiving a 2007 UD Trilogy JaMarcus Russell (INSERT, NON ROOKIE) Autograph /99 in return...a $100 card...I was mad saying the least, so I contacted Barry (in March) and he said I can either do 2 things: 1. Send the Russell back and they will send me what I should have received or 2. keep the Russell and they will send me some replacements that would equal $100....so then March turned into April...April to May...still nothing, so I contacted Barry again and I had to "refresh his memory", which is absurd saying UD is the top card company out there, so I refreshed his memory and he said he'll let them get something out to me...so May turned to June and now June into July and still nothing...I sent Barry another email late June and on June 27th he said he was sending stuff out that morning...well I called in on July 9th and the lady said she had no tracking info for me and didn't see anything in the shipping department....so now it is July 14th and Im still out of my cards....I find this absolutely ridiculous, I have been an Upper Deck collector since 1990 and never once have I been treated this way....I sure hope someone can take care of this for me...


This was sent yesterday morning at about 11am....as of today at 3:36PM...still no response...can you imagine someone dicking you around like this, especially UD..the king of all kings..

Matts that sux. I am by no means defending them but if your man Barry sent them regular mail there is now way to track it and doubt they keep a record of the shipment being sent. Hopefully he replies to you with some clear info one when something was sent.

When I dealt with my redemption replacement everything was sent to me via FedEx ground with signature confirm...what a pain in the ass.

Barry def sounds like he dropped the ball on this one and hopefully either something was sent or will get to you soon. Good luck!!

I called in on July 9th and the chick asked for my name and I gave it to her and she said there was no tracking info for me so she checked with the shipping department and nothing...I guess once they have picked the replacements it is sent to the shipping department and takes up to 14 days to clear there...then you can expect another 14 days to receive it...so basically 28 days...bunch of dweebs I tell ya

Yeah it def is a clusterf=ck around there. I always get a laugh when I get a redemption in the mail from them and then then a couple days later recieve an email that the card has shipped. IDIOTS!

its very sad, I hope someday very very soon UD gets the carpet sweeped out from under them and file for bankruptcy...I had better communication and response time from Fleer...now isnt that a kick in the sack lol

I've been waiting on a Joe Montana Auto Redemption since January. July 2nd I sent a e-mail requesting a replacement card and I received this response back a couple days later.:

I am sorry for your extended wait. The reason why your card has not been sent is because we have an outstanding auto on the card. This means one of the athletes has not signed the card yet. In July we will be announcing an exciting new program that will eliminate redemption cards as they are known today. It will afford users with significant opportunities with regard to choosing cards in-house and available for shipping. We hope you will enjoy this new system, as it will be available to access online shortly. If you have any additional questions please call Customer Service at 1-800-873-7332.

Sent them a second e-mail asking when this program was starting and heres the response:

Barry is 0-2. Word to wise don't deal with Barry at UD. What a turd!!

This is intriguing as well: "In July we will be announcing an exciting new program that will eliminate redemption cards as they are known today."

WTF does that mean. NO MORE REDEMPTIONS UD HOOORAAAYYY!! hahahaha

Not to say anything good about UD, but I woke up to a shipment from customer service of UD and it was a sealed box of 07/08 Spx Basketball. Letter said sorry I didnt get my advertised ratio, but its over a product run and not promised in each box/case......Signed CS
Funny thing is, I havent complained to them of any basketball product, I dont buy enough to have the chance......

WOW.... and then to top it off..... 1 jersey or auto per pack my a$$..... this box magicaly had 2 hits per pack..... ended with 15 jerseys, 2 rc jersey/autos, and 3 superscripts...... Looks like people should complain more often!!

Barry FINALLYYYYYYY sent something out, I got the UPS Tracking # and it says it weighs 1 lb!...wonder what crappy box they are sending me

ACTUALLY There is a good chance there is something quite good in there...had a similar issue and they gave me a box of 06-07 Chronology Basketball in which I pulled a John Wooden Auto/Letter Patch AND ALSO SENT a tin of 07 Chirography Football in which I pulled an Emmitt SMith Auto /10
so odds are they sent you a decent box


could be wrong though

ya I was thinking about holding onto it saying he could start and possibly produce...but his size scares me and also that CJ kids speed scares me also...so it will be put up tonight...Im holding onto that Turner Auto RC though, I think that kid is going to be good even though he's on a crappy team...I cant take $10 for it like they do on ebay, it will not hurt to hold onto it
