That was a great read, and for his sake I do hope he chooses college over the pros (unless he already made that choice and I missed it).

But if he goes pro, I hope a team is smart enough to let him learn, learn their offense, learn the NFL speed of the game before tossing him in. I think there is a real franchise QB here, just not at Week 1 of the 2017 NFL Season

My favorite time of year and my team doesn't have a 1st round pick. Super sad.

Which team?

If you're a Rams fan, my condolences, because they got duped last year and gave up the #5 pick this year

EDIT: just saw which team lol

At this point this is what I'm rooting for with Cleveland... I've become a big fan of the Garrett + Kizer First Round. There are a few other guys that would make me think if they were still on the board (Malik Hooker or Leonard Fournette for example) but I really think Garrett + Kizer would be the best of both worlds especially with Cleveland having the #33 pick and #52 pick (from Tennessee) where they can address the BPA on Defense, OLine, etc... as there are always a few top ranked guys that slip to the 2nd round.

Let Kessler start, as he's competent (and will make a great backup going forward in his career), until Kizer is ready to go. I think Hue could do a great job with him.

Jeremy Somerville ‏ @ SomervilleCLE 14m 14 minutes ago
Based on what I'm hearing lately, I won't be surprised if Mitch Trubisky decides to return to Chapel Hill.

Also from earlier:

Hearing surprising rumor about a player coming back to school who most of us assumed would be coming out in the draft.

Can any OSU fans say their opinions on Lattimore? Seen a few mocks having him to the raiders which I wouldn't mind but don't know much about him.

the Bengals will take a LB (Foster out of Bama) before they take a DE. they need an answer at MLB to complement Burfict on the WLB and Vinny Rey at SLB.

i think that's who they'll take. Though, they might also take a Safety or CB. (Peppers would be nice, but getting him at 9 is reaching)

I saw another mock draft had us taking Mike Williams...
What do you think of adding another WR in the 1st round?

god I hope not. Kid looks super talented, but we just have too many pressing needs elsewhere before we take a luxury pick like another WR.

only way we take Williams in round 1 is if all 8 picks ahead of us are guys that were on our board and our draft personnel panic.

OR, if they do take Williams, that means they know Green will refuse to re-sign with the team because they held him out and wouldn't let him get his 40 yards for 1k.

there are some solid LBs and Safeties this draft. I hope rounds 1-2-3 go LB/S, LB/S (whichever wasn't taken in round 1), DE/CB/RT/C (OR, if Leggett from CLemson is still around in round 3, take him since Eifert can't stay healthy).

I think I did pretty well...

I just saw this. Made me bust out laughing with the Griffith pick. As someone who has watched almost every Bama game for the last 4 years, the kid is awful. I had zero faith in him when he lined up. He is seriously one of the worst kickers I've ever seen. I'm thrilled he's a senior and won't play another down at Bama again. If he does get drafted, I feel sorry for that team (but watch him become the next Vinatieri).

OK.

I think we go LB/S Round 1, O-Line Round 2 (Pat Elflein for the C position), whichever one of LB/S wasn't in Round 1 in Round 3 and DT Round 4 (Eddie Vanderdoes maybe?)

Well I don't follow kickers

So I just saw kicker, and I saw Alabama, and because Alabama is a great team I just assumed he was great lol

Most people assume that, haha. Griffith was terrible but it wouldn't shock me if he becomes Vinatieri-esque or Justin Tucker-esque. I want him to succeed since he went to Bama but I really hope he got a good degree because I can't see him becoming a legitimate NFL kicker. We shall see...

Looks like Josh Allen (Wyoming QB) is headed back to school for his senior year. He probably needs it honestly.

The best kicker is on Auburn. He's a beast.

I like the QB from Texas Tech, Mahomes.

Son of MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes.

But playing at Texas Tech didn't exactly get him ready for a pro style offense, but he might be a steal if he can adapt

Budda Baker is the best Safety in the draft. Really really hope Seahawks get him.
