Its about time. He should have had it ended earlier because of his play... either way quite an accomplishment

the game hasn't started yet.......... wouldn't be surprised to see Favre hand the ball off to AP for a series or two.

All he did last week was threw 1 pass for a pick, maybe a run or two before it, can't remember though, would it be that hard for him to come throw 1 screen pass for 298?

Favre's real problems stand in front of him. I think the Jets Reporter is going to get him back. What a terrible way to end your career Brett.

He knows they would put massive pressure on him and even if the Vikings offensive line does a great job, Umenyiors, Tuck, or Cofield are going to get through a couple times. He has seen what they have done with QBs this season--especially Romo--and he is afraid to get hurt

Still a chance for a Willis Reed appearance. Until he goes on IR he is able to play.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I would much rather see a legendary player stop playing when it was obvious he should as apposed to quit when he's in his prime.

Favre had a story book year just last year, without the story book ending of course. That year, all the way up until that last pass, was what most QBs hope to have, and very, very few ever achieve.

I'm sad to see him not start tonight, but it's better than the alternative. I was also sad to see Barry Sanders retire. He could have played a few more years and probably led the NFL in rushing at least one of them. We are all left to wonder "what might have been" with Barry. The same can't be said about Favre, and I like it that way. No regrets in my opinion. The man has heart like none I have seen in my time.

I wanted to see him get pummeled by Osi and Tuck. I'm disappointed! LEgendary players should go out in legendary manner!

I hope he teases retirement at least 88 more times and milks the sympathy of having his streak end.

They're showing him on the field now in street clothes walking around while everybody else is in full pads warming up.

If he comes out & plays, he will have the biggest set of b*lls in the history of sports. lol
A part of me is rooting for him to run out in pads & take a snap! lol
