Great Blowout Pull At The National 1/1

Here is the story. My son purchased a box of Elite from blowout for the Donruss box wars. Long story short, he wins and was able to choose any card they had displayed. He picked the Barry Sanders 1/1. Now for the question. He wants to sell it on ebay, any idea what he should list it for?

Check closed auctions for Barry Sanders 1/1's and go from there. If there are none, start way high and accept best offers.

That is a very nice card. Here is one of the most recent 1/1 Barry Sanders cards that sold on Ebay.

BARRY SANDERS 1/1 2008 UPPER DECK HEROES TRUE 1 OF 1 ! - eBay (item 180268311675 end time Jul-28-08 16:46:42 PDT)

As you can see it is not a patch and they got over $150 for it. I would probably start with a low opening bid and let it ride or do a BIN of $300 with a best offer option.

I would say a BIN of more like $500-600. Its a jumbo patch so it might bring in more, especially if you run into a big time Sanders collector.

That is nothing compared to that 3 Color patch though. I would say do a hi BIN/BO.

You guys are right. It is better to do a high BIN a take a lesser offer. Than do a low BIN and not get as much as you could for the card.

But if you set it too high, it scares away middle range prospective buyers who don't think their X amount of money would fly. Try to set it at a premium but comparable price and take offers? It might be different for the higher end cards, I haven't had something similar as I think it would fetch 325-400ish but the 1/1 factor could play a role in someones offer.

Donruss was really on the ball this year at the national. I was very impressed with there marketing manager scott, what a great guy. I was able to pull some really nice stuff out of there free packs. I would expect some where around 250 being the card is just a promo made specially for the national. Let us know how you did!

Yes he was a nice guy. He kept throwing my son free packs every day. I was a little shocked that Topps wasnt there tough.
