Wink The best idea to hit sportscards yet??

For those that dont check the baseball card side of the world. Would you buy into this as football fans?

(Possible Gimmick) Certified Auto/Fingerprint cards.

this topic needs to be discussed LESS, not MORE... there's going to be a dozen fingerprint threads up in this piece all of sudden

Horrible idea. From a legal aspect, it's just not going to happen.

No thanks - aside from the fact that I'd never want my fingerprint in public like that (I know fingerprints are everywhere - but not with this clarity) - I just think they are ugly. I'm a grown man who happens to like cards because of his love for sports - I don't need some 20 year old kids fingerprint on my card. I don't care if he "touched" it - Just dumb.

I don't think there is an appeal to a finger print or any reason for it. At the end of the day you dont know if that's even the player's fingerprint or not. Even if it was I think it's not very appealing at all.

Besides the fact that its a stupid idea I just wanted my football brethren to see the weirdness in the other boards. Everyone knows we are the Crips of Blowout. I've even seen the other sports boards post about how mean we are

Like I said in the other thread, why would I want a card that I have to send off to the player to get signed and may never see it again, or have to travel to a game to get it signed, just flat out a bad idea.

i gave a fellow board member and friend a card from 2009 SP Authentic it is an autograph of Stephen McGee and it has his fingerprint on it (looks like he smeared it into the ink before it dried) does that make it a 1/1 lol

I want to see cards with court used paternity test results. I am sure that the piece of the document that says that a player is some woman's baby daddy would be equivalent to pulling a laundry tag.

Police won't need to finger print them when they get arrested, they'll just need to go buy their rookie card

While I like this idea, I think it could be improved upon.

This is where new "2011 Topps Social Security Edition" comes in to play.

Each pack contains 1 Manufactured "Letterman" card containing 1 digit from the player pictured's Social Security #. Collect the entire 9 card set per player and send it in to Topps for a copy of the player's birth certificate (available in 8-10 weeks, after weeks of hassling Topps Customer Service).

What do you say? I'm in for 3 cases.
