Default Jets vs. Pats...Stirring the Pot...Read & Comment

For all to enjoy, as reported today from Boston.com:

"On Monday, Jets' coach Rex Ryan claimed Sunday's game between his team and the Patriots was personal between he and Bill Belichick.

But Jets corner Antonio Cromartie has made things really personal between he and Tom Brady.

The former Charger, in his first season with New York, went on an obscenity-laced tirade about Brady to the New York Daily News. Writer Gary Myers talked with Cromartie about Rex Ryan's comment this week that Brady "points" when he scores, apparently to taunt opponents.

"We see that a lot. He does it a lot," Cromartie said. "That's the kind of guy he is. We really don't give a damn, to tell you the truth."
Okay, what kind of guy is Brady?

"An ass----.

"---- him."

Cromartie's dislike of Brady dates back to his days in San Diego, as it is for his current/former teammate LaDainian Tomlinson; Cromartie was a rookie in 2006 when the Chargers blew a 21-13 fourth-quarter lead at home in the AFC Divisional round and the Pats went on to a 24-21 win. That was the infamous game where Tomlinson said the Pats lack class and that maybe it comes from their coach, while reminding everyone that he is a classy guy.

As is Cromartie.

"I hate them," Cromartie said. "I don't care. I hate them."
Brady or the Patriots?

"Both," he said.

"Everything is personal with me and the Patriots and what they did to us," Cromartie said. "So, I really don't care. I don't have too much to say about them. I'm just ready to play ball on Sunday."

Is this a bad time to bring up the fact that Cromartie has fathered nine children by eight different women and that the Jets had to front him $500,000 in salary this year so he could pay back child support?"

All I have to say is that I don't know who is the bigger dumba$$, Ryan or Cromartie.

First of all Rex, the game isn't personal between you and Bill. You aren't on the field. This is a game about the players, not you. Their blood sweat and tears will be on the field, not yours.

And about Cromartie. What would he rather Brady do, some kind of an idiotic dance or shuffle like everyone else? A simple pointing of a finger is apparently too much for Mr. Nine Children From Eight Mothers? F'n loser.

The last line of the Boston.com article is PRICELESS. The Jets actually had to front Cromartie half a mill in order to pay child support? What?!?!?!? Are you f'n kidding me?!?!?!? What a low-life dead-beat piece of crap that loser is.

I JUST CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THE PATS ABSOLUTELY DESTROY THE JETS THIS SUNDAY.

And yes, for all those wondering, I am indeed trying to stir the pot on this one. These little remarks by guys like Cromartie to the media do nothing more than make themselves sound stupid.

GO PATS!!!!!!

Sounds like something a typical Charger player would say.

I'll help "stir the pot".

Rex is being Rex. He wants all the pressure on him. He would rather have reporters question him about these statements than question him on the fact that the Jets have been winning in spite of Sanchez, not because of him.

The Jets had no right winning last week. Braylon Edwards won the game for the Jets with that terrific catch of another Sanchez horrible throw.

Cromartie is just jealous that Tom can name both of his kids off the top of his head.

Look at the matchup on paper.

Jet's LB's and DB's are a little better than the Pats LB's and DB's. There was more of a gap at the begining of the year.

RB's? Edge to the Jets

WR's- Slight Edge to the Jets closer to even if you add in Keller and Gronk/Hernandez.

O-Line- Toss Up.

D-Line. Pats because the Jets are without Jenkins.

QB- No Contest

Coach- Bellichick over Ryan

If I were to bet on this game I would take the Jets and the 10 points.

Will it surprise me if it's another 45-3 game? No. But then it won't surprise me if it's a 3 point game either way.

Gets winning by 10 or more would shock me.

Go Pats

The Jets talk trash before the game & during the game but get upset because Brady points at them and did not watch their game....hilarious. I cannot wait for BB to run up the score on them again. Hopefully they have some tissues at the podium for LT when he starts to cry again.

Rex Ryan is a fat idiot. He truly believes everything is all about him.

Cromartie, well, lets just say him and LT are two truly classy people

Do I think Patriots win by 42 again? No, but I think they win by double digits again.

The Jets suck. It's getting really annoying to keep on listening them them talk. They can't back it up so why try? It makes no sense what so ever. Watch, Tom Brady is going to do what he did to the last corner that wanted to run his mouth. Throw right at him and kill him.

I see Pats by double digits. Not necessarily by 30, but 10 to 14 at least.

I'm always baffled why Cromartie's off the field day care always comes up in a discussion concering the game. I know it's an easy jab at him but it really has nothing to do with the game.

If the Jets refuse to blitz again they'll get picked apart again. Have to hit Brady early and often to have any shot. Game will be closer then last time but same team wins - Pats 24 Jets 16.

Same reason the Steelers looked so bad against them. You can't sit back and try to defend their receivers without pressuring Brady. Even with 2 of the best CB's in the league, him and his "who the f' is this guy" receiving core will pick you apart.

That being said, I'm pulling for the Pats to win this weekend so the Steelers can get another shot at them. I think the game plan will be a lot different and they won't sit back and get ran over like last time. That and I would love to see Harrison make Brady a stain in the turf.

lol. That's the problem. They didn't play yet. They won't win anyways and I got money on that one. The Ravens will run all over the Steelers.

You know what I meant. Don't be a putz. Of course they still have to play Baltimore, I said "so the Steelers can get another shot at them". I didn't say when the Steelers play them in 2 weeks.

I think Steelers will win. Ravens are not that good IMO. Pitt/Pats AFC Championship is what I am guessing. Pats will win.

No point in blitzing Brady now anyhow - without Moss, and the need/desire to throw it long down field, blitzing will just get you dink and dunked to death.

Either way, Jets have zero chance in NE.

The D line has to create the pressure. Brady will pick the blitz apart.

Ryan tried that last time, played coverage and look what happened. He couldn't get any pressure by not blitzing.

Looks like he is S.O.L then because Brady generally exploits the voids left by blitzing and the Pats finally have some Tight Ends to make it work. I hear you though you do have to try something.

In heard that instead of replays on the jumbotrons there will be a continuous loop of foot pictures, Rex will be to distracted to call in plays.
