Default Preparing for Packout: 2010 National Treasures Football

Preparing for Packout: 2010 National Treasures Football (Gallery & Video)
February 14, 2011
.

It’s fitting that we took a trip to the Panini America printing facility across town on Valentine’s Day of all days. After all, there’s little in our work life that we love more.

Today’s glorious sojourn would’ve been worth it even if we would’ve had to make the 80-mile round trip on our knees, for it revealed resplendent first looks at several stunning gems from the forthcoming 2010 National Treasures Football, a product rich with some of the most historic high-end content the football card world has ever seen.

Hyperbole, you say? Check out the gallery, watch the video and see for yourself. But you might want to sit down first.

Oh, and stay tuned later in the week for more exclusive galleries from the National Treasures packout . . . as well as a special Panini Unwrapped episode starring 2010 Playoff Contenders Football.

Not a bad looking product. Wish I had a $1600.00 lying around so I could buy some.

Anyone see the McNair patch card at the end that's supposedly going to have an auto on it?

Wonder if Panini has any sticker McNair auto's in their vault.

Don't worry... all the 1/1's have not been packed out...they will be used as replacements and / or for panini representatives to have

honestly, i am not impressed wtih any of the cards besides the double logo patch. at lesat we know the on-card rookie patch autos should be nicer than 5-star (since the window is bigger)

That sproles is beautiful. That double logo was a beast though. I really like this years layout I love incorporating the white background into the cards.

I don't know how Topps production facility is, but Panini makes me wonder how any card stays in good condition the way they are treated/stored.

So let me get this straight. These guys can put sticky notes on the cards and use random paper wrapping as dividers and its all good? I guarantee if I put some sticky notes on card pictures I want to sell before I shipped, people would go ape sh*t.

The presentation of how those cards is handled disappoints. If those are the pictures they are willing to show everyone, imagine how they are handled when people aren't looking. I like to think that the consumer is the primary limiting factor in condition of cards (via normal wrapper opening and handling), but now I'm starting to change my opinion.

I stated earlier it scares me how Panini handles the cards. Heck, just chilling on pallets in the middle of a production facility.
Do they have a high damage rate on their cards?
