Default 2010 Playoff Contenders Rookie Ticket Autograph Variations Revealed!

2010 Playoff Contenders Rookie Ticket Autograph Variations Revealed!

February 16, 2011 at 1:09 AM

Early last week, The Knight’s Lance provided a captivating world premiere gallery showcasing the 33 young stars from the 2010 NFL PLAYERS Rookie Premiere whose cornerstone Rookie Ticket Autographed RCs are signed on-card and are live in the product.

While filming the Panini America quality control process for the product in the days that followed, this intrepid — or is it inept? — blogger unwittingly created quite a stir by asking whether or not those players also had Rookie Ticket variations in the product.

The answer – as I found out during the taping of a must-see Panini Unwrapped episode that will go live Wednesday morning – is a resounding “yes.” And every one of those Rookie Ticket variations is presented for your viewing pleasure in the gallery that follows.

But as the product officially launches today, perhaps the most important questions remain unanswered: Are the variations short-printed? If so, how short are they? Indeed, this remains a developing situation. Here’s hoping the following images of some of 2010′s most coveted Rookie Card variations will hold you over until I can unearth more details.

They are obviously going to be akin to the college parallels of the last few years with a print run around the same.

Wow, Panini is milking this for all its worth... First the "accident" during the filming and now the "developing story" on the variations and short prints.

Yeah, it is a joke on ebay right now, people are going to overpay big time. People have Tebow blue jsy listed at 700 bucks, just put a little more in and buy a case for that price lol

And it seems there are a lot of variation cards in general for them to be actually SP

I'm still not clear as to how these variations are being interpreted.

Ok, so we know there are variations for each of the 35 RPM Rookie Ticket autos. Does that mean that the "regular" version will be considered the "true RC" and the variation will be considered a parallel (ala, what Prestige does with some of their RCs)?

Also, do you think all variations are short printed? Or, for a particular player, could the regular version be the short print with the variation having a higher print run?

I think it's way to early to tell who the sp's are going to be. For example contenders was out for close to a week last year and only seen 6 crabtree contenders pop up. It is an sp but it's 500 plus. Where I had the titans TE, can't think of his name that I pulled and only seen a couple pop up so I held it thinking it was a low print and it's not even an sp. It's all a guessing game for now
