Hell they should have made them look like the golden tickets from Willy Wonka (the original Gene Wilder, not that horrid Johnny Depp remake)

Interesting that Tracy Hackler's email is on the card. I don't buy Panini so forgive me if this is the norm on Panini redemptions.

Ok, I had to do this...I thought it would be funny to have this on here:

YouTube - "I've got a Golden Ticket" Lyrics (Willy Wonka Jr.)

Yeah, 14 kt is about 58% gold and 42% other metals. So you can't just calculate grams * current price per gram... I am like that too...

Yes I know 14kt is not pure gold that would be as you said 24kt but the price for an oz of 24kt gold is around 1300-1400 depending on the day. If you divide 24 by 1300 and then times it by 14 and then divide that by 3 for the weight of 11g=.333 oz you get 252 dollars and some change...that is how much the gold on that card is worth. If it were pure 24kt gold the value of the gold would be 433 dollars.

Yup, 1/3 ounce of 14K gold right now is worth roughly 269.50 going by todays closing prices.

I was just commenting on the statement that it was pure 14kt gold. Back to the card, I am really interested to see what this finishes at. Its pretty high for having 4 days and change to go. Can't imagine how pumped he was when he pulled it.

Yeah I can only imagine the look on his face when he pulled it, and especially a superstar. That card is a jackpot in 4+days

I believe that the protocal for redeeming it is to contact Hackler....those guys just shot a video of them palming all those cards too..I hope they wipe it off before they send it
to the guy.

I think the seller screwed up by listing it as a redemption. Had I pulled that, my ass would have been on the phone right away to make sure the card was produced and ready to ship out. If they said yes and it would ship within a few days of redeeming, I would have done it in a heartbeat. I think the card in hand would easily outsell the redemption and possibly by quite a margin.

Regardless, that is a hell of a pull and a great time to have gotten it.

Hell of a guy to pull out of the commons. This will be fun to watch but I'm really looking forward to seeing what the Vick would pull in if it's ever available.
