Default 22KT Gold NFL Cards from Danbury?

I have a set of these things in the closet. Any clue what they maybe worth? I think I bought them in 2001-2002 but they have been hidden away so long I forgot I bought them. Any help on value is appreciated. Thanks Ant

Doesn't look like much if this is what you have:

I don't know if they were required to put the actual amount of gold in each card in the sales things but those are usually incredibly misleading. 9/10 of those have little to no gold at all, similar to gold PLATED coins.

exactly when in hand they bend just as easily as regular cards so they must have a minute amount of gold because i don't think solid gold is very pliable.

i could be wrong but i thought gold was one of the softest metals especially the higher the carat i believe something like 12kt contains more other metals than gold. and 24kt contains more gold than other alloys. just my 2

Yes, gold is very soft. Panini actually stated that was a concern for them in making the gold cards redemptions since they'd be fragile.

Wonder if that's part of the reason they had them encased. Although that helps presentation too.

Thanks for the input. If anyone knows of someone interested. I will sell these cheap. They are eating up space. Thanks Ant
