As for on cards with Sayers and AP, there is only 2 cards, but they're both quads with other big name RBs, one from 07 Exq, the other 09 Exq. At least from what I can tell on beckett.com just looking it up.
Great, thanks for that info on the Quad Exq cards.

Well, I think my criticisms (listed in original post) of the product don't have to do with the fact that I didn't hit a Tebow or Bradford RPA. But you are right man, it is hard to disassociate money from cards. Still, I got in early, and I think from what I paid for the cases I'll still have a good shot at getting back 75%+. All the sales info will be posted to my blog when everything is sold.

Dang for 6 cases that was kinda rough. No big RC autos, no good logos/cuts, your Mannings were redemptions, a bit of a stinker.

Id be interested in seeing your blog though, you can PM the address if you like.

That part surprised me when I saw it. He signs a whole lot and I can't believe Panini couldn't get his stickers. Isn't he their spokesman?

Thank you! It helps to hear that. Especially after a semi-rough break. Now that I've looked over all the cards carefully, I did pull some nice hits, and I actually think my sales will have a shot at getting me back 75% of cost. I was in very early, so I didn't pay current case prices. That helps too.

Still, I'm really surprised at the 135 RCs checklist in this product. They really wanted every RC in there didn't they? And the "Prime" patch thing really irks me, but I guess that's the way it goes.

Hey Alex...since you have been doing this for about a year now, do you think you are starting to get immune to big hits?

If you keep opening boxes like this, the basic autos are going to feel like base cards to you!

Excellent post & review by the way....Rob

Yes, I actually got bored during cases 4-5-6. Not bored really, but something weird was happening, it wasn't as fun as it usually is, it was kinda like work. NOT COOL!!! I think part of the problem is I opened 6 cases of Five Star just a week ago, and that spoiled the heck out of me. I do like Five Star better than NT. My next breaks are low end, massive sorting breaks, so I'll bet after those I'll be ready for more high end.

I think your dead on with your evaluation of this product. How in the hell can they justify so many scrub rookie autos in their highest end release? I only bought 1 box and that was enough. I hit 4 autos, but 3 were of the base rookie variety no name guys. Pretty crappy if you ask me. I should have went with 5 star.

Very good read, Alex. Thanks for the insight and for sharing! This product looked great, but seeing the same patch pieces in more than one card really blows. The only unique card out of this product is the NFL shield, and the best one has been pulled. Too many Ram heads out there. I'm still thinking of buying one, but I'm glad I got a Bradford 5* base RC/Auto first.

However RCs 200-300 are all the rest of the RCs, and there are some names in there that I’ve never heard of. So, often in a box you’ll pull 2-3 RC Auto’s and 1-2 of them are players who are totally off the radar. This was an unexpected problem, as I thought Five Star from Topps was going to be the “too RC focused” product, whereas NT has turned out to have far more scrub RCs in it than Five Star. This is a huge downside, and makes opening the product kinda boring. Yes, I actually got bored by the 4th, 5th and 6th cases.
I think you make a great point here. I agree with you regarding the notion that NT is too RC focused...that is what Contenders is for! In fact, the 135 RC player checklist is the exact same player checklist that is in Contenders. I wish that NT had streamlined things a bit and made the RC checklist, say, maybe 50-60 players instead of 135. Again, that deep of a RC checklist is great for Contenders, but not for NT IMO...
